Vince Young (unemployed)

Learn from Leinert... He would have been last years #1 pick... Bush will get it this year. Not only did Leinert play for free this year, he will also make less for the next couple of years (because he will not be the #1 pick this year)... that and I don't want to face him next year :tongue2:

Vince Young would be the 1si pick

I.ve never seen a one man show win a game like that. He avevage 10 a carry running

He is a 6 5 Vick with alot better arm

By far the best QB

I hope he goes pro , I dont want the buckeyes playing him next year

Talkin' about Leinart... not only will he not be the first player picked, he might not even be the first QB. Of course there's Young, and a lot of people are talking about Jay Cutler from Vanderbilt too.

think about this, if ML comes out last year he goes to SF and is still Californias golden boy, now there looks to be a great chance that he lands in NOLA, sorry bud but you made the wrong choice. I guess he could always hope they move to LA

a couple things i have to chip in on here.

a: yes, he'd better go or he's an idiot. repeat? oklahoma will be back with fury next year and i think we could hang. he's on top of the world, the salary cap, stock can't rise...etc. just go.

b: i think we could hang because adamones makes a good point many have disregarded in that USC's defense is NOT that good and they should have beat the Horns. heck, USC's defense gave up 21 or more points 7 times. our D next year (after losing so much talent) i would like to think is at least comparable to this year's USC defense.

c: our O should be...SHOULD BE very hard to stop this year. no way we would only put up 22 (UT game) again with all those redzone trips we made. granted, there are so many ifs and ands here, but our running game will be 2nd to none and our pass attack should improve by ten fold (since the Texas game). we will also finally have a nice redzone pounder in CWells.

d: for all of you who want to beat Vince. that's nuts. i hope he makes the smart decision and goes pro. if we win the NC, that will be a huge win whoever we might play. how about a ten times better shot at going undefeated and not play Vince. not that i don't like the big game (because i love it), but Texas will have plenty left in the cupboard for us i'm sure.

e: another big reason VY should go pro. it pushes Donte & Ashton back one more pick. i want them to stay! keep'em out of that 1st round for now. if they declare...then of course, i hope they go as early as possible. :)

It's not always about finances though. What else does he really need to prove at the collegiate level? A Heisman is the only thing he is missing.
and I've said it a million times, there's no need for a Heisman, it means nothing when you already have a National Championship.

Young would be smart to go to the draft, but I could understand how tempting it would be to come back to go for the Heisman trophy, and a possible repeat.

I still think Bush goes #1 though. He is still one of the most explosive and talented football players ever (up to this point in his career), and he still had a pretty good game last night despite having a great defense zoning in on him all game, and having a month to prepare to stop him.

Vince Young is a great quarterback, but i would think that him sidestepping and trucking over every defender stops, or atleast cools down quite significantly, once he gets into the NFL. Reggie Bush is, well, he's Reggie Bush.

A Heisman never means "nothing". It is probably the greatest single achievement you can do in football (with exception of maybe NFL MVP), and you belong to a club of the best football players of all time. A Heisman trophy is an unbelieveable honor.

I voted yes.

Though I would love for him to return, because victory in Austin won't be the same without VY there, why return? This way he goes out on top.Why risk injury? Why go out like Matt Leinart...in second place...or worse not even playing for the NC because you lost to Ohio State on Sept. 9th?

Vince,go to the NFL...your a top 5 pick right now...you'll probally be drafted ahead of Leinart and possibly Bush.

I meant in the grand scheme of Vince's carrer. Jason White won, what happened to him? Winning a Heisman doesn't grant you access into the NFL Hall of Fame or anything.

Sports talk radio, in Houston is begging for the Texans management to put together a trade package with Carr included to make a run at VY.
personally I think this could be a very attractive package. Carr is not that bad of a QB, get him some talent around him and you've got a pretty solid QB at worst IMO.
