OH-IO, Ohio Stadium, Script Ohio, Ohio Union, the drums in TBDBITL... I think being called Ohio as an intended insult misses the mark by a country mile. Even our own cheerleaders say "Let's Go Ohio!"

Not saying Sam did or did not do that purposely but a lot of kids from southern states just refer to Ohio State as Ohio.

I lived in florida did several interviews of kids and heard it on more than one occasion.

We used to call it "That School up north"

I attended a 7on7 in Tampa a few years back, and at least 50 of the kids referred to tOSU as "Ohio",or "O State". Same thing in Georgia. If the kid lists tOSU among his favorites, I can't imagine it being related to Hoke.

2015 DT Tim Settle lists #uva as his leader but watch out for #OhioState and #alabama here. I have feeling they might be biggest threat.

Holley in this class and Settle in the next class? YES PLEASE!!! Would be absolutely beside myself to see this happen. We have landed some stud DEs, it's time to load up elite talent in the middle as well.

If UVA does not start producing soon, i.e. this year, I can see interest waning. I think they will likely hold onto Blanding and Brown this year regardless of on-field performance, but there is a certain point where results might start speaking for themselves.

As for Settle, I think we are in a good position early on.

I have learned 3 things about recruiting from Urban.

1. Cast a WIDE net
2. Look for serious speed at the skill positions
3. Load up on the D Line

Sounds like a winning plan to me.
