The rivalry and records tends to mean more to fans than recruits more times.
We're still about a year away, but Tim Settle has announced that his intentions are to commit to a school on October 18th of next year. At it's been for quite some time, Alabama, Virginia, and Ohio State are the top challengers to land the five-star tackle. Though it'll be a tough task to out dual the hometown Cavaliers, the killer duo of Urban Meyer and Mike Vrabel have pulled commitments of this magnitude in the past. The 6'3, 305 pound beast has not yet made it to Columbus this season, but did wind up at the University of Virginia three times in August. The Buckeyes are in the thick of the race to land him and, as we stand now, Settle is a predicted 59% crystal ball lock to Ohio State.
Though Settle isn't sure which programs will be on his top seven list when he narrows it down during the summer, he said the Buckeyes have a good chance of making the cut. But in order for Ohio State to do that, Settle wants more consistent contact with the Buckeyes' coaching staff.
"I love Ohio State, and I have to get back up there," Settle said. "The first time I went I didn’t get to see the whole campus. I only got to see the facilities, and when I go somewhere I want to see everything, so that’s something I am looking forward to.
"I just have to keep in touch with them. I don’t want to go into a period where we stop talking for a while, because then I’ll start to lose interest."
Their only shot at him was hand.At one point our friends at Michigan had high hopes for Settle. Somehow, I think they have given up on that fantasy. Hand going to Bama, was no doubt a sobering experience.
No they've been told how much Settle loves Michigan while they refused to offer (only when Hjabe went elsewhere did they offer)At one point our friends at Michigan had high hopes for Settle. Somehow, I think they have given up on that fantasy. Hand going to Bama, was no doubt a sobering experience.
Yep and the only time that isn't the case is ff the recruit grew up being a fan of one of the two schools, which for out of state recruits tend not to be the case.Or jabrill peppers...

Are you referring to Hjalte Froholdt? Anyway, I think over the years numerous recruits have gone to Michigan, in part because they felt scorned by OSU. I would for this one to go the other way.No they've been told how much Settle loves Michigan while they refused to offer (only when Hjabe went elsewhere did they offer)
