USA Today Coaches Poll is out

It's all good. Let's start the year without too much pressure.
Agreed. The team has high expectations, but it will only make JT look better if a borderline top-10 team rebounds from a down year and contends for a title.

Sheesh this is one helluva mess you caused Misanthrope...but quite funny nonetheless...I saw that BCS poll and thought i was losing my marbles
I think there are more than just you confused.

BTW Golfer, Your quote is one of the funniest Buckeye Urban Legends I have ever heard. It is a rediculously long story but to sum up, it came from a post from another website where a guy drafted a speech as to what he thought JT should say to his team before the NC game. It got distributed by email and the rest it history. Now it is referenced on snopes.com as an Urban Legend. It was so believable in fact, that Joe Menzer ACTUALLY USED IT FOR REAL in his latest book. That last part is what makes it the funniest. Sorry to go off on a tangent but your quote reminded me of the story.

Colin Coward going off on the poll... ripping "the big 12 hype machine" saying "you cannot reasonbly have Oklahoma ahead of Ohio State. It's just not reasonable"

Nice work Colin.. ripped OU to shreds. "drinking the Oklahoma Kool-aid" :slappy:

"Ohio State has 18 returning starters and dominated Michigan and Oklahoma State who gave Oklahoma all they could handle"

Cowherd is spec-friggin-tacular. He and Herbie are the two guys that I put more confidence in their opinions than anyone...not just because they both tend to lean towards tOSU either.

I don't necessarily feel that Ohio State should be top 5, because this team just feels like two losses. He couldn't be more right about Chokelahoma, though. They are getting by on name, coach and conference.

That's excellent. I'm sorry I missed it.

Oilerbuck - you say that aggy is right at 17 but that texas tech is overrated at 21?

fwiw tech is going to beat aggy this year in lubbuck, atm hasn't won there in like 12 years or something.

tech will lose to texas this year in austin, but that very well could be their only lose depending on ou. sand aggy has a solid team this year with a much improved defense.

all in all though i tend to agree with your assesment

i would switch tt to 17 and aggy to 21 and then they would both be right imo

Well, the good thing about us playing pre-season #2, #4, and #10 (as a minimum) is that it will finally allow us to unseat Notre Dame as the Strength of Schedule national champion. :roll1:

Michigan at #4 is an absolute fucking joke. We have way more of our starting corps returning than does Michigan, we spanked them like tibor spanks his goats, and yet they're five places above us.
