My coach ALWAYS had that mentality. Don't think he had any stats behind his reasoning. Just wanted to "put the best foot forward" so to speak.I'll look for an archive of the footage, but I was watching Sky Sports News years and years ago (after England lost on penalties years ago) and they brought in statisticians and business people.
Sky Sports News concluded -- based on stats -- the best shooter should shoot first.
Have no clue how they got to that conclusion.
