Making things complicated in order to disguise things is just going to be unbelievably fantastic for them; there is absolutely no way that a lack of talent or ability to pick up a complicated system with constantly rotating starters from year to year will make it more difficult for college athletes to pick up something that works in the pros.

247 Composite just adjusted their 2022 rankings, and it wasn't kind to Michigan....

Two of Michigan's 4-star recruits lost a star, giving Michigan a total of twelve 3-star recruits ... that's twelve 3-stars out of sixteen total recruits (75%).

In addition, two of Michigan's remaining 4-star recruits have scores under 90.00, which means that they could easily drop down to 3-star status.

Michigan's average per recruit is down to 88.50, which is worse than Rutgers (88.73) and barely ahead of Kentucky (88.45) and Indiana (88.40).

Why do highly sought after recruits keep committing to a school that has been markedly disappointing every season since 2003? (Save for those that live in Michigan I guess). The number of above average NFL starters they’ve churned out since 2003 is definitely in the single digits. These kids just don’t pay attention.

Some guys you would have expected to make a decent jump and they actually moved down slightly.
Expected to make a decent jump? Based on what, exactly?

Camp/combine performances? (nothing special)
Senior year tape? (none yet)
Offers from Alabama? (lol)
Magic winged helmets? (that must be the answer)
It used to be that Michigan commitments really did get a bump in the rankings just because they were offered by Michigan. After a decade+ of underperformance on the field and ridiculous reaches on the recruiting trail, Michigan commitments don't get the benefit of the doubt anymore.
