i'm not trashing zwick. i'm simply using STATS to dispute what Tressel has SAID is the main component to solid quarterback play. Smith either deserves a chance to play when Zwick is making bad mistakes, or he should pack his bags and go where he'll get a FAIR chance.

Not only has Zwick thrown various interceptions, but he has also but the ball on the carpet several times...and thrown some ugly ducks that would get a good hunting dog drooling at the mouth.

Lord knows Mr. Wagner knows more than JT and the rest of the staff. I mean even though JT has watched these guys practice every day for more than 2 years Darius has seen every games this year. We are not worthy. :bow:

I think it's safe to say Smith will be taking quite a few more snaps this season. No way a young QB makes it the entire season in the B10 w/out getting his bell rung a few times. Let's hold the 'Smith:should he transfer?' speculations until after the season. If, in January, he feels he didn't get a fair shake this year, well, then it's his decision.

Isn't there a B10 game this weekend that you'd rather be discussing? :p

Maybe someone should send Troy Smith the tape of the PSU/Wisky game. "One play away".

Talking to the press about this stuff, in no way, will help him. It's bad enough so many fans have taken "I'm a Troy guy", "I'm a Zwick guy" stances. I certainly hope this doesn't start happening in the locker room because of comments made in a public foum. And as for me, I can't believe for a second Zwick is playing ahead of Smith for anything other than he is the QB that is better prepared to win games. To imply otherwise shows more about the implicator than who they implicate.

i have never claimed to know more than Tressel. that would be riciculous.

however, smith isn't getting a fair shake at ohio state. it has nothing to do with the wealth of "knowledge" in jim tressel's cranium.

P.S. i'll never leave....cuz you "yes men" need to be checked.

The Bottom Line: Zwick has been the starter from day 1, and that much should be obvious to everyone. Did he earn? Probably. Did I trust Tressel to make the right choice as the QB? Definately. But, should Troy Smith have had to find out by only playing one series against Marshall and no series' against NC State? Absolutely Not.

People just expect Troy's defenders to bring up the race issue.... That's ridiculous. The issue it isn't brought up is because it isn't valid, and it would get slammed right away. So why assume by posting that shit?
