Alabama starting LB Trey DePriest suspended for violation of team rules

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Alabama inside linebacker Trey DePriest has been suspended for a violation of team rules, coach Nick Saban said after Tuesday's practice.

Saban said he will be eligible to return to the team if he fulfills his obligations. DePriest was not at practice Tuesday.

DePriest was Alabama's second-leading tackler behind C.J. Mosley in 2012, racking up 59 tackles and 13 starts.
