You know what sir, I want to see you keep posting here. As to DePriest, seems you take a boy out of Springfield but you can't take the Springfield out of a boy (coming from someone who grew up there).

I can imagine. I can't say I know the area well, but got a slight impression of what it might be like based on the types of establishments I saw on Main street when visiting to take a tour of the Wescott House.

But the thing that always left the greatest impression on me about Springfield was afterwards on the way back to I-70, on either Dayton Ave or High Street, seeing a house with a no trespassing sign that said "We Don't Call 911".

I would put Springfield in the same conversation as Detroit as being so rough. Smaller, but the crime and poverty is just as bad. Really happy I made it out of there and I still go back for family, but it's not a place you want to live in. That being said, I don't think Trey grew up poor or anything, so kind of surprised to see this tbh.
