Trev Alberts - AD at Univ. of Omaha

I read in this thread yesterday the opinion that Mark May had gotten better since Trev left, and I thought, who are you takling about?

Then last night I did see the segment where he was making fun of the West Virginia fans, and that was pretty funny. Obviously a Pitt guy doesn't mind taking shots at the 'Neers. Good observation that said he's easier to take when he's giving another program grief.

But I'll be thrilled if there's a reason to burn some couches Saturday.

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>NEW YORK (AP) -- Former Indianapolis Colts linebacker Trev Alberts was hired by CSTV as a college football analyst, and will team with play-by-play man Tom Hart this season.
Former Florida State quarterback Chris Rix is also joining the CSTV family, serving as an analyst to the game action called by play-by-play man Jonathan Coachman.
Alberts, a former All-American Nebraska, spent three years at ESPN as a part of its College Football Scoreboard and College Football Gameday teams before being fired for not showing up to work last September. In addition to game coverage, Alberts will also be a regular contributor to CSTV's weekly studio program, Crystal Ball. Alberts was a first-round draft pick in 1994 and played three years with the Colts.
Among games that will appear on CSTV are Colorado at Colorado State on Sept. 9, Rutgers at Navy on Oct. 14 and Notre Dame at Air Force on Nov. 11.

And even more importantly, does he get to keep his job for 4 years no matter how much he sucks?

Hey, Scout had Rix as the highest rated TV analyst AND color commentator coming out of high school,.

I know for a fact that be blubbered a 40-word sentence in 4.5 seconds, and tossed a quip 60-yards with one lip in the dirt. That's some fast moving chops ladies and gentlemen.

But he'll never do jack with Coach Bobby holding the cue cards and Jeff Bowden writing the jokes.

And Rivals only gave him 2*. :tongue2:

You gotta love it when a jackass like Rix manages to lose to his rival 5 times in a college career. That has to be a record. I wonder if his new job will allow Chris to give Glory to God and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his many blessings, in and out of handicapped parking spaces.

Warning before clicking this link turn sound off.

douchebag

Did Chris Rix finally graduate?

Apparently, functional literacy wasn't required if he did :slappy:

from his site:

When asked about his time in Tallahassee he replies, "I will always remember my time at Florida State...to play for Coach Bowden and to be a part of the Florida State family will always be an honor and a privelage."

I'll bet ol' Trev has a monster tan, eh? I mean, after that time in construction, laying bricks and all, heck, he must just be in awesome shape and fashionably brown.

Wonder if he'll tone down the personal comments, like asking for Jim Tressel to be fired.

And last, but not least, what does he do with all those leftover "FLorida State Quarterback" business cards?

Okay, I think I'm finished now. I'm not a big fan of the guy, just in case no one noticed.
