Previously thwarted superstitious belief that I am a jinx now reaffirmed. Stopped watching and game play apparently improved substantially.

Keep posting. Am returning to the first season of Dexter. (White Christmas seemed inappropriate, on reflection.)

I was responding to a comment about the defensive secondary.

Offensively, I agree we got away from Hyde too soon, especially for quick passes to the outside that were useless, save for one Philly turned into a first down. That said, I don't think we're going to see Hyde rumble for chunks the way we're used to, but 4 yard runs will open up some play action passes. We just have to be a little more patient against a defense this good, but it's tough to do when you're down 17. Fortunately, we're within 7 now.

A TD drive to start the half could go a long way to turning this game in our favor.

Absolutely right. Hyde doesn't need to run for more than four yards at a time to have an impact. It doesn't seem like much, but a great defense like theirs will take four yard gains personally and may start to overplay him.

By the way folks, I'll take a little blame for this. I think my trusty 15 year old ball cap may have lost it's mojo. I got mad and threw it across the room, and the boys started playing better. It's going to remain stuck on the Christmas tree where it landed for the rest of the game.

Observations:
Numerous stupid plays are what resulted in at least 10 MSU pts.
Not pleased with the Offensive game plan at all. We need to run the ball more.
That being said, as bad as we've played we are one dropped pass away from being tied up.
The TD pass and catch from Braxton to Miller was awesome.
Hall did not play the entire first half. Pretty strict punishment if you ask me.
Last MSU TD should have been a taunting call.
Our D really came on in the end. Hopefully they caught a fire and will shut Sparty down in the 2nd half.
Boza has been impressive.
Would be nice to score the first possession of the 2nd half and even it up.
A takeaway or two for the good guys would also be nice.
