Great analyses, guys. Indeed this will be an interesting match up.

I'm pretty pi$$ed that Dantonio got Coach of the Year over Meyer. Well, that could be the final piece of inspiration tOSU needed to win this game handily.

I would love to see us spring out with a formation of Kenny G at QB and Braxton at H or tailback. First of all, it would give Narduzzi a stroke. How do you cover it? who do you focus on? and I think it would be effective, too. The "windows" are going to be smaller and shorter in duration, and I have complete confidence in Guiton being able to put the ball where it has to be.

After the Michigan game, I'm afraid that the only throws Braxton is comfortable making are in the flat or the armpunt on a post route.

I'm not suggesting using this much, or starting with it. But I think it would be a great new wrinkle to throw at Sparty.

I see 31-13 OSU.

I don't get the fascination with having Miller and Kenny on the field at the same time. Braxton isn't as good a WR as the WRs nor is he as good a RB as the RBs.

They showed the little reverse pass against Indiana and it was sniffed out by the worst defense in the league, and would've been a nothing play had Braxton not gone Superman on them when he almost broke his neck.

The OSU offense is enough to win the game... No need to trick em, just execute!

I do not know if many on here know that I am a Spartan fan. Huge one really. And OSU is my second favorite B10 team for I would think the obvious fact that you may hate SCum as much as I do.

Anyway, I really think the whole game boils down to one match up. Braxton Miller vs MSU D. MSU D will take something away. I am guessing it will be the rushing game. MSU has immense confidence in the corners. So they will go man on the outside and cheat up the safeties to take away the run game (if that is possible Hyde is a beast but MSU has done it in the past). If successful that will force OSU to go to the play action and passing game. And this is where I think it will be decided. If Miller can make plays with his feet as needed and break some big runs I do not see MSU keeping pace.

MSU O is boring but it is not really effected by who they are playing. They rely on execution. Regardless of who they are playing. They have no real high end talent that can over come poor execution or create something out of nothing in general. They rely on 3-4 yard per play and wearing a team down. Any mistakes by the MSU O are extremely painful to the team. They do not have a lot of big play ability. Does it happen....yes but it is mainly due to the Defense screwing up not our guys blowing by people.

If Miller has a great game OSU wins by 2 TDs. If MSU contains Miller then MSU will take it into the 4th quarter and hope to get a stop and a score at the end to win.

I can not help but feel like this is OSU Tressel vs OSU Meyer. The similarities are so obvious it is hard to avoid. I really have no feel for how this game will go. I can not see OSU scoring less than 28. But conversely if MSU O is working they will keep pace. I really expect it to come down to the last 10 minutes and the team that makes the plays as needed will pull this out. Again, I just think this will be a crowning jewel to Millers season. He is a unique talent and I am not seeing how he is contained.

And honestly, I like OSU over FSU. FSU has played almost NO ONE. The ACC is garbage. And their schedule is puke. The best team they have played is....????anyone? Actually give me a DUKE win this weekend and lets see all holy hell break loose.

I will take a MSU loss and a trip to the Rose Bowl. MSU has been screwed a couple of times the last few years out of good bowls so getting to the Rose Bowl through the back door is fine by me.

Well, the OSU Tressel v. OSU Meyer angle, as you say, is hard to avoid. Dantonio and Bollman make it nothing short of obvious. So... I guess I can have a reasonable prediction of how Tressel v. Meyer might play out.....

But..

They never did play the Championship game to end the 2006 season. :shrug:

My thoughts exactly. These two guys are going to be the guys who make the Sparty D play more honest. As I mentioned in another post, Heuverman will stretch the field vertically up the seams and Dontre will stretch the field horizontally and out in the flats. If the Sparty D fails to keep them in mind they are going to pay greatly. Hopefully that will be the case.

no, not kidding. not after he overthrew Devin Smith by 5 yards. I realize we didn't have to pass against scUM, but we might want to be able to pass against Sparty.

And I probably misspoke saying Braxton might be uncomfortable, but there have been some games this year where the passing game doesn't look sharp, and then the playcalling changes. So maybe I sensed that the coaching staff was uncomfortable.

I would take this all back if Braxton goes 17 for 22 like he did a few games ago. But the Michigan game was NCG-Krenzel-like. A win is a win, but I would love to see a better passing attack than 6 for 15.

Pretty ASStute there Zooker -When they played a good defense they weren't as explosive" and "It all comes down to if MSU defense can stop The Ohio State offense" No wonder your on CBS talking about games instead of coaching.................
