tOSU vs Missouri, Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Friday Dec. 29, 8 ET on ESPN

If you think Kienholz had a small playbook, imagine Noland’s?
True, but I think we can both agree the playbook will involve no passing plays for anyone if the o line doesn't get fixed ASAP: Idk whether we need better NIL strategy, recruiting, development, or all three but something needs to happen immediately as I think this is the major concern for this team and offense. We can win with mediocre to sporadic above-average QB play (ala this year) but we must have a good line. Unless we start recruiting Jalen Hurts/Jamar Jackson types, our line is going to get all our pro-style QBs injured or unable to develop because they are running for their lives as soon as the ball is snapped. And we don't have a superstar back there like CJ anymore who will make it work (for the most part) if his line can't protect.

Dudes have been opting out for how many years and they write that drivel about Harrison? Fuuuuck off. Where the article about Caleb Williams? He’s making a shit ton more than Marv with his Wendy’s money.
I agree that it's a hit job (not because I read it, but because I trust you have - my bad, picnic table fucker) but, from the head line... and thinking about NIL... why should I pay for you to not play in your bowl.. ostensibly the game with the most visibility for my investment? (all to say, there is no ROI right now... it's kids cashing in on rich fanboys... hey, good for them.. the product? not so much)

You practice to win the game. You dont split reps between 2 QBs before a bowl because you're already planning on injuries.

Of backups and a QB asking for gaurantees. Come on.
just focusing on these 2 points. Brown was already gimpy before the game started, did you not notice how heavily taped he was?

Julian Flemmimg was not a backup and Trayanum got quite a few carries. Both in portal.

As for McCord wanting a guarantee, that is still rumor at this point, but like I said, he won 11 games, and behind a shitty line, so I wouldn't hold it against Day if he had stood behind his QB. Day clearly wasn't looking in the portal for a QB, so who was he going to compete against? Looks more to me like Day was happy to make him a scapegoat.

Just one of the myriad issues destroying CFB. I've been pretty vocal about my issues with the direction CFB is going and how my interest is waning because of it. NIL and the portal are great for the kids, but it's turned the game into the wild west. Tell me how CFB is different from the NFL now?

I do think McCord's experience would have been enough to win tonight. There were plenty of open guys, just no ability to process by the QBs (And a good part of that is the OL was not good tonight) where KM has a season of live reps under his belt...
