tOSU vs Missouri, Goodyear Cotton Bowl, Friday Dec. 29, 8 ET on ESPN

Then what prep is happening? This wasn’t a 1 game week thing. It was a month since the disaster. Day going all in on Brown - who wasn’t good either - tells me a lot.

He never liked Brown to beat average McCord. And he definitely doesn’t trust LK.

I honestly don't know. He's counting on Noland coming in and being the guy from day one?

Who know, but I don't think Brown or Kienholtz (again I'll give him some slack as a true freshman with virtually no reps who didn't expect to play) are the answer either. Brown has a limited sample size and hasn't looked like a world-beater when in there. Plus, his injury issues may be a legit concern. After tonight, the competition should be fully open in the spring.
If you think Kienholz had a small playbook, imagine Noland’s?

Yes if what we think happened happened. I wouldn't want him back even if he was the best QB. And the way the team rallied around Brown kinda pointed out they might not have been all that big fans of how the Kyle thing went down and it sure didn't seem it was Kyle they were siding with
Other than in interviews where did the team rally around Brown? The offense looked like total dogshit even when he was in there.

There is a thread on it in the rumor mill.

But essentially NIL great for skill players shot for o and D line

He's probably not wrong. Day loves his 5* WRs. Just looked at the thread. Pretty sure we know why he didn't play.

Benching your starting center with a backup QB seems like sending a message at someone else's expense, though.

Disappointed with o line play. Wonder why we had a different center and why they moved Simmons. The defense played good enough to win if the offense had been able to move the ball and score. Gotta think Henderson will look for greener pastures .

Yeah it potentially got Brown hurt to send a message. And if you want to send a message a QTR or a half would have got it across loud and clear

1. 1st string QB who won 11 games is run out of town.

Please. He wanted a guarantee and every fucking guy on here would've called Day a pathetic cuck if he gave it to him. And people were joyful he was leaving.
2. 2nd string QB is known to be injured but no back up plan in case he is unable to finish game.(to be honest, Brown looked like he was still a back up when he was in the game anyway)

You practice to win the game. You dont split reps between 2 QBs before a bowl because you're already planning on injuries.
3. Day continues to run plays that have not been working all year. Runs to the outside that take a while to develop.

Half the running plays didn't work because OL is shit. It's a huge problem.
4. 2 players on the O Line were playing to punish guy who complained.

Don't care one way or the other. Obviously rubbed Day the wrong way though. I doubt he wants anyone making OSUs NIL look bad though.
5 Day says subs are the responsibility of the position coaches.

Subbing isn’t the issue when your defense has to hold teams to 0.
6. Mass exodus to portal.

Of backups and a QB asking for gaurantees. Come on.
7. Continued bad decisionmaking of special teams players puts us inside the 10.

I want Fleming gone as much as anyone.
It isn't about having to play the Frosh 3rd stringer, It's about the lack of preparedness that they might need to play him and the poor preperation in general.

You have limited time to prep. This isn't the pros. I want them practicing starting reps with starters. No worrying about 2-3 contingency plans.

Wasn't the complaint that Day tried to split reps to much between McCord and Brown early on? This is half my problem. Fans want a and b, but you can't have both. You choose and live with the consequences. This was a shit sandwich. You can eat it or not, but you can't complain that it tastes like shit.

Defense was great....

until it gave up 180 yards and two scores ......

Still, really don't feel like it's Knowles who's got the growing to do in this situation. I've seen his D improve over 2 years.
You’re asking the D to basically do something not even mighty UGA at home could do and shut Mizzou out, because that’s only way they were winning that game.

A small part of me had doubts about this defense given the offenses they played this year, but they put all that to rest tonight. Knowles is the real deal imo.
