Game Thread tOSU @ Virginia Tech, Sep 7 2015 @ 8pm ET, ESPN

Anyone care to guess how our bucks will attack on offense now that we are down 4 of our top 5 WR's? If I had to guess is we will now use more 2 tight end looks and more 2 back sets as well. I think this time around option football, off tackle, and getting zeke involved is going to be very important for our team. With all the motioning and running plays I think we use this to run play action to Vannett down the seams and to take a few shots to Michael Thomas and my sleeper Torrance Gibson.

I think Braxton, Zeke, Samuel, and Barrett will be really involved as far as the running game goes but I do not see us putting many freshman WR's in such a important game. Man as these hits keep coming I'm starting to be more unsure of our game with the Hokies though.... Someone talk up a game plan that I can feel confident in!

First off, I don't think our QB locks in on one receiver like JT did last year with Corey Smith. Second our OL is maybe the best in CFB. Last year this time they were barely average. VT has to account for BM this year which WILL effect their game plan. BM will be all over the field. QB, RB, HB, WR, etc. Ignore BM and it's lights out. Same thing with CS. Our running game ended up being the best in CFB the last three games. It was barely functional this time last year. EE WILL get 100 plus yards.
OUR D will also be better than it was last year this time. VT is going to have a hard time scoring. Our boys and coaches got this!

So if I'm sitting at 7 offenses does the threat of not going to a bowl really scare me straight? Hahahaha. "Oh, you mean I can't go to the Meineke car bowl? Ok. Now I'll straighten up."

3 strikes your out except in Blacksburg, your barely warming up partner!

Did the VT AD nix the idea once it became public?

Yes. Report is there was also a running tally of maybe five players already docked approx $330 in financial aid so far. Foster obviously knew, Beamer certainly knew ... can't believe the AD didn't already know when at least three boards in the players lounge listed penalties and totals deducted. The AD nuked the program only after Foster mentioned it in an interview yesterday and the backlash and inquiries began. I just don't see how you begin implementing the program without running it by compliance, and who in a compliance department would sign off on this being a good idea?

Another question is what happened to the deducted COA money? Does the University just keep it? Did the football program hold it? How does the football program have influence over University COA reimbursements? Is it all in Bud Foster's lunch pail?

Here's my play for the game. Backfield of Miller, Jt, and Dolo. Now run a double reverse halfback option with a lateral and all WR's goin long. of course we have run options at any time......

And it wasn't just spoken as was first reported or what's being parroted at Cincinnati, it was implemented. Up on the TV monitors at their facility:

Note: The biggest fine for these "student" athletes is getting a 15 yard penalty in a game.

I think Northwesterns kids want to appeal.

I just heard about this policy for the first time this morning in the car, and it's absolutely ridiculous. Forget about the insanity of fining non-paid, broke college kids, how the hell do they expect to recruit anybody this way? What happened to 5AM sprints and suspensions as a punishment?

If I was a VT fan, I would want to know what Beamer and company were fined for losing to goddamned East Carolina

A co-worker who is a Buckeye fan and works in another office came in this morning and said "VT talking shit." He didn't elaborate. Anyone hear anything about VT players running their mouths?
