Game Thread tOSU @ Virginia Tech, Sep 7 2015 @ 8pm ET, ESPN

Anyone care to guess how our bucks will attack on offense now that we are down 4 of our top 5 WR's? If I had to guess is we will now use more 2 tight end looks and more 2 back sets as well. I think this time around option football, off tackle, and getting zeke involved is going to be very important for our team. With all the motioning and running plays I think we use this to run play action to Vannett down the seams and to take a few shots to Michael Thomas and my sleeper Torrance Gibson.

I think Braxton, Zeke, Samuel, and Barrett will be really involved as far as the running game goes but I do not see us putting many freshman WR's in such a important game. Man as these hits keep coming I'm starting to be more unsure of our game with the Hokies though.... Someone talk up a game plan that I can feel confident in!

Attack with EzE up the middle and Braxton on the edge with JT effectively running the read option in various iterations.

If VT is loading the box and causing problems, bring in Cardale and some of the young burners (especially Torrance Gibson) and make the safties game a living hell over the top.

Game is starting to make me nervous. All the injuries and suspensions coupled with a new OC/play caller. Are there any players healthy and not suspended that you feel confident in not named Thomas?

The biggest difference between 2014 OSU and 2015 OSU is the improvement on the OL since the game last year. It was the first real game (not counting Navy) for most of those guys a year ago and they improved so much over the season. I'm looking for them to hit the ground running this year. The only question marks on offense are at WR, but if the line plays well enough with Miller keeping the defense honest with sweeps and swing passes WR might not matter that much. WR is probably more important if Jones is at QB, but they are going to single cover our WR's regardless of who lines up because that is the only chance they have to stop the running game.

It wouldn't surprise me at all seeing VT open with their double eagle look again.

1 proven WR, the potential #2 and #3 receivers have only been running routes for a few weeks? Greene came in with some hype from GA Tech. Clark should also be able to provide some relief. I guess let McLaurin, Campbell and Brax turn on the burners and see if they can catch a few passes. They all should be able to outrun the defenders. If they catch a few long balls it should open things up for Zeke. Those 3 might be the fastest WR we have open as I expect Thomas to be double covered all night. Dixon should get some time. But this is looking like it will probably be a 6 receiver rotation. This game just go really difficult. They are going to open the game with 8 in the box and a lot of pressure again. I expect to see a lot of blitzing. This is not a defense to be one dimensional against. My 38-10 prediction just dropped to 27-17.
