2025 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

New Rivals 250 for 2025 came out today and here are the names of interest I saw:

2. OL David Sanders
3. QB Bryce Underwood
4. DE Armondo Blount
6. DB Devin Sanchez
10. DB DJ Pickett
12. RB Jordon Davison
13. OL Micah Debose
58. ATH Dorian Brew (too low)
60. DB Jontae Gilbert
64. DL Amare Adams
80. OL Mason Short
87. QB Tavien St. Clair
90. RB Tory Blaylock
113. DB Trey McNutt
134. RB Bo Jackson
151. QB Ryan Montgomery
168. LB Weston Port
191. RB Marquise Davis (too low, expect his ranking to go up)
206. WR Quintin Simmons
228. LB Tarvos Alford
You may want to unhighlight Gilbert...

And I'm assuming Brew is so low because no one knows what his actual position will be. He can be anywhere in the back 7 of a defense, which is crazy to think. Depends on how he grows.

And to add to your list, a few names I think OSU has a very good shot at:
163. Byron Louis
185. Carter Lowe
194. Justin Hill

  • Three-star 2025 linebacker Maddox Arnold: “The atmosphere was crazy! Gameday visits are different at Ohio State with your own host, energy in the room, coaches talking. I got to catch up with some guys I’ve camped with and met like Garrett Stover and Sam Williams-Dixon. I train with (2026 linebacker) Cam Thomas at my uncle’s spot called Nevels Fitness so it was cool to be there with him. This time I got to meet coach James Laurinaitis for the first time and he said he knew me, liked how I played and loved my film. Coach (Mark) Pantoni came up to me on the field and said they liked my film and that I’m still on their radar. They want to see me all year at middle linebacker, he liked that I was around and wants to stay in touch. Jim Knowles came over to me and said he was glad I was there since he hadn’t seen me since spring and said I looked bigger and that he really liked my film and was looking forward to talking more.”

Found this question and answer on the other board interesting........

I was just wondering how many corners are we planning on taking in 25? There seems to be at least 4 where we are at the top of their list such as Devin Sanchez, Blake Woodby, Trey McNutt, Mark Zachery and now maybe Galloway. Cornerback recruiting is at an all time high so I was just wondering how many we end up taking

They wanted 4 in the 2024 class and it doesn’t look like they will get it so I’ll guess they go for 4 again in 2025.

Sanchez, Brew, McNutt, Woodby and Galloway are all corners but Brew, McNutt and Galloway could also play Safety so there’s a lot of position flexibility. Walton’s recruiting will help boost that Safety room.
