2024 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Y'all sleeping on Nave a little bit now. I see where you're coming from but I see I'm leaping forward this year as his body changes up. He'll be growing into his size and I'm hoping that 3* rating is big motivation. Keep a close eye there

It seems natural for Ohio State fans to be hesitant about three star OL prospects given the previous scouting and development results from Bollman and Studrawa. Hopefully Frye shows better results in both areas… it’s somewhat concerning that the expectation seems to be him jumping to a HC job sooner rather than later so we might not even get to see his scouting/development eye through an entire career like Nave’s.

Not trying to be a Debbie downer as this class is looking great. After the Scott commitment, thought we would see a few more commitments come through from some of these visits. A lot of chatter on Twitter from others in this class about a huge July. Curious if others backed off as Lightfoot did.

Just like last year. (Sad trombone)

There are slew of announcements coming up in the next couple weeks, and two months.

Love it. Imo you throw the kitchen sink at Bolden, Baker, Houston and Stewart with NIL if feasible. Those would be huge wins at positions of need and would make the rest of the class very easy to fill out.

There’s some follow up conversation on the 11W forum about how Schrader is an unreliable insider, and his words should be taken with a grain of salt.

However, I think he’s reinforcing what is generally true—Ohio State is strategically investing its NIL money (along with everyone else) and is choosing to not get in bidding wars for players like Lightfoot and Jackson as they save up to go head-to-head with anyone for their top targets.

If OSU had a stronger OL core and stronger 2024 class, I would love for Frye to take a flyer on these twins as well. But they're much more projects than what he can take now. But they would've probably been low hanging fruit takes from Stud...

It's kind of easy to be humble when you're under the radar. But these are the type of MSU wins in OH that pay off for them in years 3-4.

these are the kinds of of recruits from Ohio you only hear about as MSU wins in 3-4 years IF they develop AND MSU has a good game against OSU.

You can keep any sports Mom out there dropping a "whilst" in her social mediorgasam about the moral superiority of her family as represented by her messiah/kid.

Might have some entertainment value from afar though. A la QBForce and his crew. OLine Yes key maybe? Experience is just the name we give to our mistakes.
