2023 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Ohio State football has ground to make up in the 2023 recruiting cycle and the Buckeyes are making recent strides to do just that with impressive momentum, according to 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong. Ohio State is in the mix for several top-end prospects at the wide receiver position and the nation's top-ranked safety could give the Buckeyes a closer look.

"Ohio State has the No. 6 class in the country right now. They're in the hunt for No. 1, man," Wiltfong said on the 247Sports Recruiting Podcast. "I mean, they're a program to watch. This wideout class has a chance to be particularly special for Ohio State. They already have one in the fold who they landed, Bryson Rodgers, who's also out of the Sunshine State. He has 25 touchdowns over the last two seasons. That's a guy that Ohio State had up there earlier (in April) and committed."

Ohio State is gaining traction with five-star safety Caleb Downs, five-star wide receiver Brandon Inniss and others that would highlight a notable haul for Ryan Day and Co.

BRANDON INNISS, WR (FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA.)

CALEB DOWNS, S (HOSCHTON, GA.)

BRYSON RODGERS, WR (ZEPHYRHILLS, FLA.)

CARNELL TATE, WR (BRADENTON, FLA.)

NOAH ROGERS, WR (ROLESVILLE, N.C.)
