2023 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

DE-OLB Caleb Herring is a 4* class of '23 edge rusher that will visit Ohio St. on March 26th. Brother plays for the Vols but he insists that's no factor for him and he's interested in playing for a winner. His current size is 6'5,220 and he plays for Murfreesboro Riverdale H.S. (info from Rivals).
Hopefully we can land another kid from Murfreesboro then. That’s some great size

Recruiting Dante Moore:

On this week’s edition of the Michigan Recruiting Insider, discuss Michigan's standing in the race for Detroit King five-star QB Dante Moore?

In the excerpt below a clip from a 2021 interview with Dante Moore highlights one of the feathers in Michigan’s cap in his recruitment.

Sam Webb: “Now I know you’re your own ma, but they say... and you tell me if it's true... they say your pops is a big Michigan fan. Is that true?

Dante Moore: “Yeah, it's real true. He loves Michigan basketball, Michigan Football, Michigan everything... (even) hockey. He'll sit down and watch hockey games and I'm like, ‘what are we watching right here?’ It's a great thing, though. He loves Michigan. He's a diehard Michigan fan. He has a tattoo of Michigan peeing on the Ohio State logo. (Laughter). He has the Michigan glove on his back with the exits and everything. So, he really takes it serious. He's from Detroit, so he really takes it serious, takes it to heart. So, I'll say he's a... not even (just) a big (fan). He's crazy about it.

Sam Webb: “So, when y'all go to Columbus does he cover up the tat?

Dante Moore: “Oh, I don't even think about it. No, he won't. He's going to be there with me. So, he's going to chill like he loves Ohio State too. Any college he goes to, he's going to give an impression like he loves that state. He ain't big on treating no college different, though. Like I say, he's in the process with me, but he says he's gonna stand back and let me (sort through) my own options.”

It's still early, but if we are able to sign: Curtis, Reese, Hartford and Alinen, that's an addition of 4 (very talented)players at positions of need.
This OLine class should be really good! Getting the three Ohio guys (Montgomery, Padilla, Siereveld) plus two of Bisontis, Okunlola, Alinen would be quite the haul. I would personally rather have Bisontis and Okunlola, but if Alinen wanted in you’d have to take him.

Not to mention we should have a really S class if we land Hartford with Hawkins. And then also getting a very good LB class in Curtis, Reese, and then Aguirre, Bowles, Trotter(or another 4 or 5 star that I have no clue on). Of course we know the WRs, RBs and QB will be stellar. This 2023 class is going to be something.

3 reasons for Caleb Downs to go Buckeye..
1. His dad and Tim Walton grew up together and remain good friends. Caleb respects his pro background.
2.Perry Eliano's record of developing DBs including two this year that will possibly be 1st rounders.
3. Jim Knowles' defensive system that features 3 on-field safeties would get Caleb on the field that much quicker.

Agree on all points.
But to add to #2, Eliano also has a 3rd DB that will be drafted too, S Bryan Cook.
