2023 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Keon Keeley is visiting Ohio St. next week on the 22nd. He is a 5-star edge rusher from Tampa,Fla. Berkely Prep and is a top 10 player in the 2023 class. His tape is unbelievable. In one game against Arch Manning he had 2 sacks and an interception. Here's the catch..he's been committed to Notre Dame since last June. He has now opened up to the point he's taking visits to Ohio St.,Florida, and Bama at least. Worth a shot I guess and maybe LJ can make a difference. Also I think he knows new recruit Kenyatta Jackson,Jr. who enrolls this summer.

Birm’s March class outlook:
QB Christopher Vizzina
RB Richard Young
WR: Carnell Tate, Brandon Inniss, Noah Rogers
TE Ty Lockwood, Jackson McGohan
OT Olaus Alinen, Chase Bisontis
IOL: Josh Padilla, Luke Montgomery, Austin Siereveld

This would be the absolute most perfect scenario. And even though it’d still land us no higher than #2, this would be a grand slam class on offense. Idk which spots make me drool the most: RB, WR or OL.

Long time till signing day but yeah I'd take it! Would like to see 2 or 3 more on offense and yes I'm greedy. Maybe a RB, another tackle, and WR to replace several early entrants to the league.

I’d be fine with only another OT. Young is fine by himself, and you’d still have Henderson, Pryor and Hayden with a frosh Young. I’d take that RB room. WR would be fine with just 3. I don’t see more than 1 other WR with JSN(come on, he ain’t staying 4yrs if he stays healthy all year). That would still leave 1 of Fleming/MHjr, Egbuka, and then the 4 from the ‘22 class. 3 WRs is more than enough in this class. Especially with those 3! Heck I’d take 2 of them and be happy with Bryson Rogers, Anthony Brown or Flores.

When I posted I had the portal threat in mind . Whether or not we like to consider it, it is here. But I agree that making these lists (although they are exercises in futility) are fun as heck!

I hear you and I was mainly considering the NFL. But both are real worries. And yes, if we get even 50% of this list we’re doing great

Any thoughts on DB Bryce Thornton from Georgia?

Didn’t realize he was the brother of basketball recruit Bruce Thornton.

3-Star but an elite offer list.

Doubt he gets a look before guys like Downs and Hartford(favored) make their decisions. Especially with already having a commitment from Hawkins. I also think Aguero will be kept in touch with the entire time as well

Pretty sure Birm doesn't really expect all these 5 stars to sign with Ohio St. but appreciate the sentiment. Here is his defensive "predictions"

DE Keon Keeley, A.J. Hoffler
DT Will Smith, Kayden McDonald
LB Troy Bowles, TackettCurtis, Arvell Reese
CB A.J. Harris, Kayin Lee, Jermaine Mathews
S Caleb Downs, Malik Hartford, Cedrick Hawkins

if nothing else it's good conversation for us and click bait for Birm.

This class as a whole is DEFINITELY click bait! Like I said,if we get even 50% of these commits, this is the best class in the B1G and a top 5 national class.
