2022 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

I think Buckeyes are relatively set at OT next year with Dawand staying at Right Tackle and Paris Johnson moving to his natural position at LT (maybe I shouldn’t assume NPF is moving on tho…I’m not sure).

Matt Jones becomes full time starter likely next to Wypler with Harry Miller sliding in as a starter as well.

The following year will be interesting….We could certainly use an infusion of talent/depth.

I thought Miller was transferring...(could be a rumor)

That's how I see the OL next year as well. Only Matt Jones at RG and Harry Miller at LG. I also see Donovan Jackson playing a similar role as Matt Jones did this year. He's too good to not be in the rotation.

Vimahi (sp) and Fyar will be solid backups at LT and RT.

I can see Jackson starting over Miller

'22 class not exactly finishing strong.
Branch to USC
Nwankpa to Iowa
No OL

The recruiting momentum is following the on-field results and coaching departures imo. Usually that's not the case in terms of results and perhaps they're not related, but it seemed like at least one of Branch or X would end up here. Now looking like neither and as you said, no OL that we desperately need. Not looking pretty at all, but you've got to imagine some of these recruits are wondering who their coaches are even going to be at some positions. At the end of the day though, there's huge opportunities for top recruits to play early at those positions.

Feels like the end of one of Tressels later classes

Folks… yall realize especially on D

well when you’re assuming your recruiter and position coach is fired in Jan…. or have 0 indication of who you’re coach is gonna be this shouldn’t be surprising … OL stuff has been documented for a long time. …
