2022 tOSU Recruiting Discussion

DECOLDEST COMMITS. LSU's all-name team just got a hell of a lot stronger on Monday with the addition of 2022 prospect Decoldest (The Coldest) Crawford.

It's honestly a crime we have to wait over two years to hear Ed Orgeron say his name publicly.

I think Ohio State should go all in on Chief Borders to close the gap in the all-name race. If they secure his commitment, nobody's going to be able to contend with a Chief, Master, Steele and Sevyn on the same team.

It would be absolutely Lejondary.

Noticed that Kuerlic and Chris Hummer (247 national guys) put in Crystal balls for Ohio State for OU Transfer TE Austin Stogner on Tuesday

Anyone know anything more about this?

He was the #3 TE in the 2019 class. Had 422 yards and 3 TD in 2020 in 7 games before a knee injury. Apparently had trouble recovering from said injury and was not very effective catching the ball this year (14 catches 166 yards 3 TD) saw a scouting report that calls him "solid in both run and pass blocking"

I was listening to one of the Buckeye podcasts, and they mentioned him being a complete TE, and he’d instantly be he best TE on the OSU roster. From how serious the coaches are looking at Stogner, I’m thinking they don’t think the corps of: Stover,Royer, Scott and Hart are ready to take over

I was thinking the same thing. A “quick fix” for losing Ruckert

Re: best TE on the OSU roster

Just sayin': If it's not Cade Stover, maybe he should have stayed a LB. The Bucks sure could have used another good linebacker this season.

Yeah, I’m not gonna argue you there.
But the coaches may have seen more of a need for Stover at TE after losing Farrell and Haussmann

4. OHIO STATE BUCKEYES
10521182.jpeg

247Sports Composite points: 290.5

Total commits: 18

New Buckeyes defensive coordinator Jim Knowles will inherit a wealth of riches in terms of defensive talent next season with the expected inclusion of five-stars C.J. Hicks (safety) and Sonny Styles (safety) joining the fray in Columbus. Those are the two big names in this elite cycle at Ohio State, which currently ranks No. 1 in the Big Ten per the 247Sports Composite. The Buckeyes are expected to sign 14 four-star players as well and are in the mix for others as the Early Signing Period nears.

Just sayin': With all things considered and only 18 commitments (and the real possibility of a few more before the signing days) at this point #4 ain't all that bad.
