Also, while Michigan is hanging in with the #12 rated class, the points gap between us and them is greater than the gap between them and Illinois.

And Michigan's #1 recruit has not yet signed.

According to 247, Ohio State's average signee has a rating of .9417

Michigan's average signee has a rating of .8901

Of Ohio State's 22 current signees, only three have a rating below Michigan's average of .8901, while eighteen have a rating of .9120 or higher.

Not a single one of Michigan's sixteen current signees has a rating higher than Ohio State average of .9417.

Did you even pay attention to the top 10 before you made that post? 7 of the top 10 recruits are from the south! A school like OSU had an uphill battle with those kids from the start. Winning against Iowa wouldn't have mattered to a kid from FL, GA, NC, etc. All that would've changed is that another southern school would've gotten those kids at most,but they probably would've still chosen UGA or Clemson

Getting the top class is nice, but this doesn't mean a thing until a few years down the road. We were all stoked about getting Torrance Gibson a few years ago, and thought that would be our RG3, Cam Newton, Lamar jackson, and if not then possibly be our game changing WR. And now we look and he's neither, and I don't even believe he's at a college. Recruiting is a funny thing, and everyone has high or low emotions on NSD, but yet these kids are barely seen by next fall, and we won't know their worth for a while(if at all). Enjoy the ride, the early NSD is going to be a crazy soap opera from here on our especially with coaches not knowing what Players are going pro

Cox and Jones hurt and were needed badly. They made the right choice for them closer to home.


It's hard to not feel some relief for skipping some of what comes with Woodbey and Carman. The former has been recruited by FSU for a few days.

With the loss of Woodbey I must admit that it is hard for me to get excited about today. And in fairness to all the doom and gloomers consider that 2 weeks ago we had commitments from or were the favorite for the #1 OT, #2 DE, #2 Safety and #4 QB in the country. And we lost them ALL.

A little sadness is in order.

When we wake up tomorrow we can start focusing on the 14 OTHER players we signed who are rated in the top 10 at their respective positions (which BTW is one more than last year).

And Michigan STILL hasn't signed their #1 recruit. Would love to hear Harbaugh's presser.

It makes sense when you consider this.... In September, people were taking about Ohio State's class of 2018 being the best of all time. That's the best recruiting class for any school for any year ever. This class was supposed to be out of this world, off the charts, up to eleven, etc. Now it's just really really good.

So yeah, that's a bit of a let down if you look at it from that lofty perspective.
