11W - FORECASTING THE CLASS OF 2017
Depending on available scholarships, Ohio State's 2017 class could end up topping the national recruiting rankings.

Birm & Teddy from a few days ago, excellent breakdown of where things stand. Birm even had Simmons as eventually in, though he didn't expect it this soon (nor did he think they led this clearly).

****, 150ish ovr #9/17 RB Sermon (Teddy prediction, not Birm)

*****, 7/3 ovr #1/1 WR Grimes (huge lean)
**** 78/165 ovr #11/23 WR Harris (huge lean)
**** 27 ovr #4/5 WR Lindsey (Birm, Teddy has E.Greene)
**** 295 ovr #9 TE Dotson (Teddy prediction, not Birm)

*** Honigford (Teddy) or ***/**** OL McNair (Birm)

***** top-10 ovr #1/2 CB L.Wade (OSU in great shape, can they beat the Pitt pull?)
***** #9/18 ovr #1 S Okudah (OSU has led for awhile, can they close?)
**** 218 ovr #23/30 CB Riep (can OSU hold off UM?)

***** #2 ovr #1 DE Kaindoh (4* #6 DE on scout), OSU has lead but very early)
**** #11 DT Ewell (Teddy) or *** #42 DT Mullins (Birm)

Birm has a 20 man class. Teddy ha 22.

On the topic of predicting Shaun Wade to flip away from OSU
Teddy said:
Can't speak for Birm but I just have a hunch he stays in Florida. He's definitely saying all the right things now though, so we shall see.

If Wade were "100-percent committed" the repeated trips to SEC powerhouses and schools around the country would not be happening. He's clearly researching and thoroughly vetting every opportunity he has (which he 100-percent should do) and one them, and one of his favorites, is Ohio State.

So, if it eases any fears, don't worry that I didn't include Wade in my prediction for 2017 because it doesn't mean that I think he's out of the class, it's because in my mind he's not yet been in the class, if that makes any sense. Getting him back on campus soon will be an important factor for the Buckeyes.

What's the number for this class? Heck, it looks like we may be done by August.
We're not done until NSD when they sign on the dotted line. It may be the staff's hardest year for recruiting if they have a full class by august or mid season, just to KEEP the kids from flipping and still havjng plan b's in place

Only $149 for an EZ-Flush???!!!!

I know right? Darn teen ager / tween ager boys with a jack and jack bathroom... It's as bad as a locker room... and the tween has started to use the guest bath across the hall from his bed room because the teen is such a mess. So, yeah... that's legit browsing history related.

On topic: When a kid committed to another program, an IMG QB fer crikies sake, shoots off a tweet regarding how strong our class is, you know something is going well.

Good to see the recognition from others who don't wear the S&G tinted glasses.

Urbs and his staff are akin to Curry and his shooting this season. Historically they have always been great but they are on an exceptionally hot run right now. We are witnessing greatness. Landing NV and TX kids who are top 100 players and haven't even seen campus yet is like hitting 12/15 three pointers including the game winner from 37 feet.

Agreed. And even though I was yanking pnut's chain... he's right. Getting all this to stick is going to be interesting. It was the first thing that came to my mind when we had the first verbal sans visit... and now a second?

That said, there's few programs in the country who stand to be in a position to have kids commit without visiting still be around on signing day. Maybe two? Three? Personally, I'm not sure who the third would be... Clemson? It's good to be in that number, for sure. It's mind blowing to see what's going on right now... and that's a lot to say considering we just came off a coach who single handedly was responsible for three HCs at TSUN finding other work.

That's what happens when everyone's talking about how OSU is going to destroy the NFL draft this season (likely to record proportions). The best recruits are all about picking the programs that are going to get them to the League.
