tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Kaindoh looks like he's about 25. My goodness.

Kaindoh is #1 on my wishlist for defense in 2017. He is already dominant at such a high level of play and still has a huge ceiling. Reminds me quite a bit of Carlos Dunlap. PSU will not be easy to beat but if anyone does it, my money would be on the Bucks. Can you imagine following up Bosa and Cooper with Kaindoh (plus one of Malone-Hatcher or Vilian)? 8D8D8D

Here's an iteration of a 21 man class. Heavy on interpersonal(Clark/Sibley, Haskell/Lindsey, Moretti/Marchiol), Ohio(adds Harris, Riep, and Richardson to list of Ohio commits) and school(IMG, STA)

QB - Danny Clark
RB - Todd Sibley
WR - Trevon Grimes, Jaylen Harris, Tyjon Lindsey
TE - None
OL - Josh Myers, Jake Moretti, Micah Clark
DE - Josh Kaindoh
DT - Jerron Cage, Haskell Garrett, Fred Hansard
LB - Brendon White, Isaiah Pryor, Santino Marchiol
DB - Shaun Wade, Marcus Williamson, Amir Riep, Lamont Wade
ATH - Javonte Richardson(DE/H/LB)
K - Blake Haubeil

In this iteration, I think the hardest pull would Kaindoh(though we'd sell him on the IMG connection and being the only true DE in the class)
-2nd hardest would be Lamont Wade who might look at S Wade, Williamson, Riep, White, and Pryor as all DBs even though Pryor and White project to LB
-hardest keep would be Shaun Wade
-17 of the 21 would be in the current Rivals 250, with only the kicker, Cage, Clark, and Sibley currently outside it

What's crazy is that:
-We'd be turning down several very strong leans in Okudah and Ewell.
-It's also hard to imagine Kerry Coombs not bringing in one Michigan kid of which he currently has three really strong relationships with(Antjuan Simmons, Corey Malone-Hatcher, Jalen Kelly-Powell
-We'd be passing on Ohio guys like Trey Pugh, Joel Honigford, Matt Dotson, Danny Davis, James Hudson, and any Ohio late bloomers

Just so much talent in the 2017 class that we have strong connections with and it will be a struggle/unique set of circumstances to even get up near 21 spots

You don't turn down Jeffrey Okudah. Otherwise, solid list.

I like the list. .. And by the summer the list will probably be flipped upside. And then flipped around again by fall... And again by winter... Gotta love crootin'

Not sure where this comment would go, but I wonder if there ever would be a game matching IMG vs Bishop Gorman. That would be an insanely big game with some of the biggest names in the country. I could only imagine the amount of coaches on the sidelines to view that event
