tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Really good breakdown above but I can say now that Bell is gone and Powell will be back. That being said, it's a battle between Burrows and Smith for that last safety spot and I think they rotate at the end of the day.

We did get really banged up this year and we absolutely need depth at the position. Not sure who we move to safety from the '16 class but considering we seem to be out of it for remaining safeties, we will have to move at least one I think.
Well we did get Wint, so that helps some... And maybe Norwood or Arnette would move, would be my initial guess

Tyvis is gone meaning Bell is highly likely to leave also....going to be pretty things at safety for sure

So when Bell and Thomas declare that leaves 64 on scholly next year I believe. Unless our Aussie Assasin joins the group that should be it for defections. A class size of 23-24 seems appropriate considering normal flow yes?

I haven't heard talk of a 3 receiver class of Mack, Corley, and Victor. I just assumed the hope was to get either Corley or Victor. I wonder if all 3 would be willing to be part of the same class? With the loss of Thomas and Marshall as well as Braxton and Greene graduating and Dixon maybe never getting healthy enough to play, this would be a great finish.

Plus, it's still to be determined if Corey Smith gets a medical redshirt or not?

Dixon's injury issues are sad. He was gonna be a great one here and it seems like that's never going to happen. You still have KJ Hill, Torrance Gibson, and Noah Brown as young pups are ready to see the field next year.

Are we close enough yet (to signing day) to know how many spots are open and play the eternal guessing game as to who is going to fill them?
Gleitman said this morning that he thinks it's 23 with Corey Smith not getting a medical RS. If we get the 4 guys listed above, a DT, and Haskins, we'd be at 24. I'm sure Urban could get that to work if it were to happen.

If we don't get Victor and/or Haskins, I could see another athlete coming on board like Jonah Morris, Maybin, or Burns.

Good points. There is absolutely an opportunity for all of Mack, Corley and Victor to play early and in fact, I think at least 2 of them would play right away regardless. If we got all 3, that WR class would be incredible.

With things seemly trending well with Fuller and a possible Schiano special in Becker, what's up with the rash of DB offers I thought we were almost full there...this because of the early entry gang?
