After looking over the roster for next year, one position that has me a little worried is Safety. There's still a chance Vonn Bell and Tyvis Powell both stay, but after those two between FS & SS, we have:

Cam Burrows
Erick Smith
Malik Hooker
Jarrod Barnes (walk-on who was in the 2-deep vs Notre Dame)

That's it. At least at DT, we have bodies. Can't say that about S.

We may see a CB or two make their way over to S, but I'd love to see us get one (or two) nice S prospects in this 2016 class. Big time fan of Isaiah Pryor in 2017 and hope he stays small enough to keep him at S instead of moving him down to LB.

Having watch many Ohio State games since 1967, I've seen many times where a great team will have an "off day" or get a bad call that ends a championship drive.
It's gut wrenching.
Sickening.
It is always a possibility with kids and inconsistent even biased refereeing.
If you're going to lose one game a year, better get it out of the way early.
Don't lose in November!

Cam Burrows and Hooker will start at safety next year. Burrows has lots of experience and will star if he can stay healthy.
Hooker is an emerging talent.
Then there is the talented, Eric Smith! Another kid who must stay healthy.
Corner is thin right now.

Powell isn't leaving.... so at least there's that. Powell and hopefully Smith manning the safety spots is still pretty solid

We're much thinner at safety than corner. Those three guys you mentioned are talented, but by my count, they are the only three scholarship players we have at safety outside of Vonn and Tyvis... and Erick Smith has durability issues. To boot, Tyvis, Vonn, Cam, AND Jarrod will be graduating seniors next year.

Really good breakdown above but I can say now that Bell is gone and Powell will be back. That being said, it's a battle between Burrows and Smith for that last safety spot and I think they rotate at the end of the day.

We did get really banged up this year and we absolutely need depth at the position. Not sure who we move to safety from the '16 class but considering we seem to be out of it for remaining safeties, we will have to move at least one I think.
