Could not agree more. Can't imagine a better human being, coach, and recruiter to have coaching the Ohio State defensive line. We would not have been in the Antwuan Jackson conversation (and many other conversations) without him. He has helped OSU land multiple elite defensive ends, and the elite DT prospects will follow in time - believe that. Moreover, the current DTs are being coached up well. I am betting that we will hear Rece Davis, Herbstreit, et al., utter the name "Robert Landers" before too long...If we didn't have LJ Sr we would be in a lot of trouble

Think he's referring to the longtime NW DT commit that I asked about yesterday if any OH prospects were on the radar.I don't get it.
Gotcha.I am betting on Rece calling Robert "Sanders" vs Landers, since he has a propensity to call guys like Ball "Bell".

to his point, I read Brim saying there isn't anyone in OH the staff will go after
Undeniably. So go get Rashard and/or Rashan to go with Malik. There's nothing wrong with well-grounded optimism. My concern with the DTs we already have on the roster is that the coaching staff seems legitimately frustrated right now with that position. Urban has mentioned it several times. And Birm reported yesterday that LJSr looked very disappointed yesterday. It doesn't sound like the staff is too happy or confident with what they have. Maybe Landers turns out to be a really good player. Maybe Hamilton or Alabi can become solid contributors, but reading between the lines, I'm not sure the staff believes that.
DE: Lewis, Bosa
NT: Hill, Munger
DT: Landers, Jones
DE: Hubbard, Holmes
If Bosa and Jones are healthy, I think the rotation will look like that next season. It's a bummer we've missed out on some plan-A or plan-B guys over the last few years, but the cupboards are far from bare. That's a very quick 2-deep with elite potential.
