That would be incredible. I think there is no doubt based on the behavior of the staff that there is a huge need inside. Carter is leaving early, Bennett is graduating, and both Hill/Munger have not played much yet. That leaves Diesel and Schutt as seniors next year and Alabi is the only DT in this class. That being said, I am not sure we even get one off that list. Gallimore is leaning Oklahoma I think (not over though) but Beckner/Wilkins are super quiet...that is why I would leave open the possibility. I think we get one but two might be a stretch. If we get one, that gives us two true DTs in this class and I think Cornell is very likely to slide down.
This staff has always closed well and shown a penchant for a late surprise or two. With the tail wind of making the first ever playoff and the most dominant performance of this years CCG's I don't see any reason to believe this year will be any different. I'll just grab a seat in the corner and watch from here. Speculating now just seems like a waste of time. I'm sure I will be happy with the final results regardless.
That would be an unreal finish. Most definitely a Top 3 class.I think it is pretty clear the staff still wants Briscoe (we sent the house today) and I am guessing with the Green decommit, they think one of him could play safety (and I agree). I think my ideal/possible finish would be Briscoe, Gallimore, Beckner (or Wilkins), Cager, and Weber (assuming the numbers work). Maybe Prince if we pull a miracle there but that would be a perfect finish in terms of need and talent.
Give me Briscoe, Weber, Gallimore/Beckner, and Cager....
