He's a good receiver but not on their level yet. You know you're good when the game is on the line and the ball is thrown your way regardless of who is guarding you because no one can stop you.
Does that mean Thomas isn't on their level, or that JT focused more on the open man and spreading the ball around to mismatches? We have more than 1 WR that can stretch the field, so it kind of doesn't force 1 WR to do all of the heavy work. But this season, Thomas has made all of the big plays asked of him, IMO.
