Game Thread tOSU at Wisconsin, Sat, Oct 16, 7:00 ET; ESPN

I blame this loss on whoever called heads at the coin toss.. tails never fails!

On the road back to Columbus, tough loss - felt like we were on our heels most of the game.. really needed the silver bullets to step up when it was 21-18 but it is what it is. Fuck m*ch*g*n.

My thoughts:
Its an unfortunate loss, but one I kind of expected. Wisconsin plays the type of football that gives our defense trouble. A big battering ram of a tail back is going to give a smaller speedy defense trouble, and boy did it ever. I thought there was a chance that we would be totally embarrassed when they went up 21-0, and I was glad to see our guys respond to make it at least some what respectable. That opening kick off return was just killer, so was not capitalizing from that interception in the 2nd quarter. I sucks to lose, but if you can't stop Wisconsin's running game, we sure as hell wouldn't have been stopping an Alabama either, and I for one would vote against being embarrassed by another SEC team. There is still a chance for the rose bowl if MSU loses a couple games and Wisky loses another, and if not the rose bowl then we would get a BSC at large Im sure if we win out.

After the loss I was talking to a buddy, saying how I hope Wisconsin wins out so it looks like we lost to a great team. But I would bet they were preparing for us for weeks and that's why they lost to state. They play out of their minds for one game then go on to finish 9-3 or 8-4. Cause we didn't have problems w/ clay last year and that drive in the 4th where they went up by 10 was a drive saban couldn't even engineer. That's not the Wisconsin team we beat every year. And I'm not gonna say it was all luck but we all thought buliema would screw it up and yet he coached almost perfectly

should have utilized Hankins from the start of the game. We gave up too much size with Williams in the game. A d-line of Simon, Hankins, Larimore and Cam would have been better.

Our entire D-line was getting blown up. Larimore ended up on his backside more than once. We were outplayed. Their O-line is very very good.

Is strength and conditioning a problem? The defense is riddled with injuries. It seems to me that we have had more season-ending injuries this year and several players are playing hurt. I know in a Big Ten season, injuries mount and people play hurt, but depth was certainly an issue yesterday.

i had a buddy texting me throughout the game saying the refs were just handing this to Wisconsin. Now he's an osu fan, but he's also the osu type conspiracy theorist where the nation is out to get us type. What did you guys think about the reffing? I don't recall there being very many penalties.

Wisconsin is well known for holding, but they just got whipped as a team. Maybe if OSU had strung together more drives that stalled with penalties there would be something to that, but they just got beat soundly for most of the game.

Very tough loss. Tough is the word of the day. Wisconsin's O line is TOUGH. They manhandled what I thought was the best D line in the Big 10.

Getting out toughed is not easy to take. It's not going to be a good time in the defensive meetings this week.

I have to ask...if Wisconsin can put together an O line that can do that to what is a very good D line, then why does Ohio State seem to have such a tough time with it? This is a pass first team right now and the only ground yards that seem to come in bunches come from TP's legs. I'm asking because it seems that every year we come back to the same thing when talking about the O line. They were better last night as the game went on. But not being able to come away with 6 points from the 3-4 yard line is a killer. Wisconsin just lined up when Ohio State had 8 in the box and just drove them back at will.

Most frustrating game I've watched in a long time.

Need to re-group quickly and get some pay back from Purdue next week. Can still be a fantastic season!!!!!!
