Unlike most times these teams meet, there won't be very many future NFL players on the offenses. Mainly because we don't have a lot of future NFL players on our offense like we usually do.

I dont buy that one bit. Just like when these players were recruited its way too early to tell.

IMO, guys like Hyde, Smith, Miller, Roby, Howard, Hankins, Simon will find a home.

Not sure if it's been said but I wonder about offensive tempo in this game. Preseason we heard a lot about a faster pace but we have dropped in number of plays each game. Poor D plays into that but I wonder if we will try to neutralize their D by trying to get them winded. I also wonder if we see more offensive creativity this game in the backfield, motion, et.

They may be content to deal with us trying to wind their D especially if they can slow the pace down and give the ball to Bell 50 times
I'm curious whether MSU is going to go with their usual offensive approach this game. We haven't had a chance to see it much yet, but I suspect the OSU defense will be reasonably good at defending an inside power rushing game. Is MSU going to stick with their bread & butter, and try to attack what is probably the strength of the OSU defense? Or are they going to go outside their comfort zone and try to exploit OSU's defensive weaknesses that have been apparent in the first four games? I think I hope it's the former.

I dont know if they will pass much, Maxwell has been pretty horrible this year.

As has the OSU pass defense. I think it's pretty certain they're not going to run a pass-dominated offense, but they've got to be tempted to try to exploit the open-field tackling and downfield coverage issues, even though their offense isn't good at that right now.

After mulling it over, I think our D steps up all around. The team takes a step forward in maturity. Being a road game against a good team resonates with the players and we put together 3 good quarters of ball. 24-13 good guys.

I think they fall right into our hands...if they have to go out of the comfort zone, I suspect we will see a lot of turnovers. I think we really match up well against this team, on both sides of the ball. I think this is the game where you can see what Urban's hands really have done to this team. Last year in this game we saw a vanilla game plan offensively, in which we actually had to bench Miller for Bauserman. Braxton has obviously become a game breaker since then, leading this offense. Hyde, who also wasn't given much of an opportunity last year, but showed he was actually able to bang through their defense for some yards, could be huge if healthy. I am excited to see the game plan. If our WRs can hold onto the ball, then we should be quite successful.

Bell couldn't get anything going against us last year, and this year he doesn't have Cousins and B.J. Cunningham to take pressure off him. Bell passed the test against Boise State, but you could tell he was a little slower and banged up after being used so much. They used Bell A LOT more than they wanted to last week, I would be shocked if he is able to be as fresh as they need him to.
