Would like family friendly suggestions for a weekend in the the east lansing area as well. Thanks in advance.

Omar's

that is a joke BTW. You probably won't want to take your family there. I don't think I have ever spent a family friendly weekend in East Lansing.

Anyone ever been to East Lansing for a game? I have convinced the wife we should make the journey from Chicago, however the hotel situation is dire. Any advice?

Consider staying in Grand Rapids. It's still a bit of a drive to EL, but it's on the way so the total drive is about the same. You're just moving some of the drive to the morning of the game instead of the night before.

Woody Hayes said something like nothing cleanses the soul like getting your ass kicked. I think this team could use a soul cleansing. Considering the long view of this team not being bowl eligible this year, maybe getting beat up may be the best thing for the Buckeyes in the long run. Walking through a butter soft Big 10 this year won't help them be ready for next year when they should be gunning for the national championship. It may be best if the Buckeyes gets beat up one of the next 2 weeks. I'm just not sure that Andrew Maxwell or Nebraska's defense will be able to deliver the soul cleansing needed.

Are you serious? Did you just say its best for the Buckeyes to lose? What the hell?

Comeon man, if you've MSU you know they aren't that good. They struggled with EMU today and got exposed vs ND.

It definitely wont be an ass kicking either way.

I really hope being on the road, playing a big time program is just what the doctor ordered.

The last 4 weeks we have had early wake ups, playing some scrub school at home that we are heavily favored (20-30 points) against. Maybe Spartan stadium will be loud and get this team rejuvenated for the BIG season. Seems like we have been playing sluggish and beaten down for some weird reason.

Hopefully we go out there and Michigan State punches us in the mouth on national tv to wake our team up. Because we can't bank like we did today that we will "just come back" and win against them, on the road.
