tOSU at Navy (M&T Bank Stadium), Aug 30th @ 12pm ET, CBS Sports Network

If you are looking for a positive try this -

Our O, for most of the game, was horrible.

Yet we had 420 yards total offense, averaged 5 yards per carry, and a RS Frosh QB - who has never played a college down and has not played a down of competitive football anywhere in almost two years - threw for 226 yards. That is more yards in a debut game for any QB since before 2001 (including Pryor, Brax, and Troy).

And that OL has four new starters. They are entitled to 3 quarters of horrible.
... and Navy scored once and got a 60 yard run where Noah Spence would have been. He would have made a difference.

The even bigger "hose job" was about 10 minutes to go in the 3rd period; it was 3rd and 4 at the Navy 48. Ezekiel Elliott goes for a first down on on his back over a defender (which should have been a first down). They knock the ball lose after he is on the ground and spot it back at the 45; now it is 4th and 1, and we don't convert. Hindsight is 20/20, needless to say, Meyer should have called TO and asked for a review.

I believe that the bad breaks/calls eventually even out; maybe all the questionable calls will actually go our way vs Va Tech.

one thing i have learned in my 30+ years of watching THE Ohio State University play football: questionable calls will NEVER go the Buckeyes' way. EVER.

I never liked the "pylon is the goal-line" rule when the pylon sits outside the field of play. Georgia fan and ex-navy guy at BW3s even said we got screwed on that play. He and I both agreed that inside touch is TD, outside touch like that should be OB and down at the one inch mark. Oh well, is what it is.
WTF. I never realized the pylon is sitting out of bounds. That is freaking stupid.

Did any of you see the Navy game in 2009?, and did they run same triple option then? My thinking was that Navy respected our defensive front four so much, that the only way to beat us was being successful going outside. They killed us on that move, in the 1st half. I did not see much passing from Navy and I wondered about that.
