Wow. Playing linebacker for the first time, Zach Boren led Ohio State with eight tackles. That really says it all.

That's pretty much the only thing to say about it.

Good thing we have an explosive offense this year.

THe flip side of that is look what happened to West Virginia today when their offense had an off day. I would hate to see that against scUM.

Tough read on the gameplan on D. I'm not ready to jump off the bridge since we lost Sabino and Williams this week, and covered that with our FB and a bunch of true frosh.

Really, really missed Nathan Williams tonight.

I don't hang it on Vrabel/Fickell/Withers though. Injuries and transfers are really killing us right now. No reason in hell Zach Boren should be getting 30-40 snaps at MLB or Storm Klein should be outside covering WRs on drag routes.

Zac Boren moved to D in less than a week we have talent issus at Lb..maybe the shine is off some recent recruits.

I think Heacock overrode what Fickell did. Under Heacock last year, despite being 6-7, the defense was not this bad.

I thought the defense was actually pretty good last year. We (mostly) held Florida, MSU, and Nebraska, although we did get gashed by scUM and a few others. The difference is night and day from last year to this year, especially in tackling.

sorry, but I gotta disagree completely with the people like just say, eh, they won, etc..

Maybe in years they could compete for a national title it may be true, but this year, no, I couldn't care less about W's (unless to Michigan) I wanna see improvement, and the defense is getting worse..I feel 0 joy about this win, I'm more pissed about this win than I am in some losses

What sucks is I love Luke Fickell and what he has done for OSU. There is no way he is back next year. This defense has enough talent to keep opponents to >24 points. We might as well start talkin about who is gonna run our defense because Urban realized (already has said as much) that this is not OSU defense.

Part of the job description of those guys is to get freshmen ready to play. It's the middle of October and most of the freshmen backers can't even be put on the field apparently. That's on the players too, obviously, but it's also on the coaches.
