Against Indiana? This is Ohio State. If even just our true freshmen can't play man to man against Indiana, we have serious problems

Doran Grant got burned pretty badly from what I saw from the stands. Someone who has played for a few years of collegiate ball (even at IU) can make a 5* freshman look silly at times. Experience> Ability.

Been saying this for quite some times. People think that just because a player puts on S&G, he is given some sort of special power. At the end of the day its just two guys going at it - regardless of their school affiliation and high school rating.

I also think people aren't giving Indiana enough credit. It's not just about head to head match-ups at each position. Scheme, play calling, and sometimes even luck play into the game. Indiana's offense looked good. They didn't make any dumb decisions, nor did they turn the ball over.

The problem with Indiana is their defense. It's just not there yet, but I think it's a program on the rise. It's awful that Hoeppner passed away, for many reasons, but had he not I really feel their program would be where Northwestern's is right now...maybe even better.

But in general, a player that gets an offer to Ohio State isn't just magically so much better than a player who gets an offer to Indiana. They are all quite talented, and all have the ability to grow into even more talented players, or else they wouldn't get any D1 offers. The trouble is, with the shifting of the coaching staff and what has gone on over the past two years, it's been hard to have any consistency. I'm just amazing at how far along this offense is, it shows a lot out of Meyer and the staff. And to be honest, that's what EVERYONE was focused on that they wanted fixed. You can't just snap your fingers and think that a 6-7 team that was bad on both sides of the ball can just all of a sudden become excellent on both sides of the ball in less than a year.

The fact that the offense is carrying us right now in my opinion is good. It gives them confidence, which was MUCH MUCH needed. And it takes pressure off a very thin defense. Maybe now the defense could use a little pressure and step up and win a game for us. If they can grow up, too, then this could be the greatest turnaround in school history.

I finally got around to re-watching the game and what stood out to me is the let down after Brax long TD run. I expected some sort of let down after the previous two tough games but didn't see that early. Well, I saw it happen in the third quarter. Guys were laughing on the sideline. Once we loss momentum Indiana got fired up and after Brax interception Indiana went right down the field and scored. It was a game again.
I expect a much better defensive effort this week as the guys get re-focused. Nathan Williams will help a lot, also.

Just admit it, we DO have serious problems. Hopefully they will be worked out by next season, when the win loss record actually matters.

Im really not upset that Indiana brought it strong against us.

Does anyone remember the last time OSU was 7-0 to start the season? FIVE years ago. We have a lot of first year guys, first year coaches, and no incentive at the end of the season.

I don't give a damn if we win every game by 3 points from here on out because a win is a win and at the end of the day we get no special trophy for blowouts.
