i remember back in the day on my Playstation dynasties, i used to run a nickel D, in cover 2 man.
i would walk my safeties up and blitz the nickel corner every single play, and absolutely WRECK the AI.
i feel like that's what happened to us last Saturday night.

on the bright side, i don't think anyone on the OL got called for holding.
of course, it's hard to hold when the guy just runs right over you, but still...

Ok so to recap, the MSU play call isn't on Herman, we DID score quite a bit in the bowl game and suffered somewhat when our QB was injured and then we have this game where some believe he was out-coached but it was also a game with a young QB, inexperienced oline, and receivers that still have the dropsies. I don't doubt that Herman could improve-who they hell couldn't improve- but I am pretty pleased with the mostly-Dave-less offense.

I would actually be pretty happy if we were able to run Dave right about now.

But none of them were really elite guys that defenses feared. That's what we need. I think some of these guys have potential. They're getting open. I don't know if it's nerves, bad form, or what. They just need to catch the damn ball. But they're getting open.

Wisconsin did everything in their power to take Brax out of the game and it was clearly working. For whatever reason Braxton was just not comfortable with anything going on out on the field- very skittish, very timid, really out of sorts.

Would have liked some more Carlos to settle things down.

Went back and found my first post in this thread. Regarding Wisconsin 2012. Rinse and repeat 2 years later.

Admittedly, I don't know much about football other than watching, so if I was wrong in my thoughts, at least I was wrong before you guys. #hipster

Yea I understand, but like any manager, you don't throw your guys under the bus...you take the blame, defend, say you made the call, then behind closed doors you let'em have it...

I tend to believe Urban is shielding and correcting internally, let's see if we notice him more involved with calling the plays. My opinion could be wrong but who knows

apparently it was hard to call any plays except slow developing deep passes.
idgaf how hard it is. you, and your staff get paid $6million/year. FIGURE IT OUT.
you're not getting paid to say 'we got out coached.' you're getting paid to out coach them. FIGURE IT OUT.

I see, do it's "trust the coaches" unless you don't like what Coach Meyer is saying. Then it's believe whatever you want and ignore that coach. Got it.

If WRs don't drop balls, this whole conversation is different. Meanwhile the OL was Swiss cheese. Again, I'm sure there are things coaches can improve upon but players need to execute.
