As for Herman, as a general rule he'd probably be better off not bothering to respond to the criticisms of "Joe fan", especially Joe fan from another team's fan base, but I think that what he's doing here specifically is trying to tell recruits, especially Texas recruits, that the offensive problems at Ohio State aren't going away and that they sure as hell aren't being transferred to Texas: I don't like it, but that's his job. I don't think he can flip anyone this year, but I would think that it's about to get a lot harder to recruit Texas.
Well, if JT really thought the world of him, you'd think he'd follow him down to Texas as a graduate transfer. Sounds like JT did what he had to do to better his situation.
Herman will be given a couple of years to get things rolling, but if Beck's offense doesn't take off he's not going to have the cushion of NC good will carryover among the fan base he had in 2015 in Columbus
Texas fan is already highly suspicious of this hire. If their offense and qb struggle next year, they'll be calling for his (Beck's) head. Herman, however, has three years tops to get them at least into the playoff discussion.
Could be 4-1 heading into Red river... more than likely 4-2 ... PlayI expect Texas to start out the season with good results on offense, then for it to come crashing down as the season goes on. That's been the trend with Beck, and Herman will likely have less time to provide oversight. Remember, this is the Big 12 with Big 12 defenses. There are no excuses.

The LHN is a headache that he will have no cure for. And then throw in the blood thirsty boosters who clamor about years of old, and still salivate over Vince Young(they had a VY day last week for Christ sakes). UT is a nice paycheck wrapped in a migraine.Yeah, those who think Herman will have the time to micromanage Beck are sadly mistaken. Throw having to wipe the asses of "THE CIGARS" and the LHN time suck onto Urban's job, and that's what Herman is facing.
