Just got back from taking kid #2 to his swim meet. Wow! Congrats on the "W". Move on. Somebody call the Doctor, 'cause Diddy's erection might last four hours.

As a father of a swimmer, I call shenanigans. Smim meets last at least 72 hrs. (or at least that's how long it seems when I am there)

For a positive perspective: I'll gladly take this annual 'close game with an inferior opponent', if we get all of the positives that we had with the last regime.

Positive prospective #2: At least Miami, MSU, Nebraska, etc. won't be Fickell's first test as a HC.

Either way it was one of those things where OSU was popping the QB over and over on that drive and he was still barely getting the ball away for completions, not a good way to live, only a matter of time before he was hit while (or before) throwing.
Glad nobody told them about that Tebow-Hernandez shovel pass thingy in the face of an aggressive pass rush. That one worked 80% of the time.

Man. Games like that, my kids and ex would run and hide while I paced in front of the tv and screamed at the players and coaches and refs. :tongue2:

Then my ex finally sent me to the bedroom to watch by myself so that the family had access to the kitchen. Games like that are not "fun". They take a lot out of me.

John Simon appears to have the heart of Cam Heyward...that's the only positive I took from this game.

Many positives, imo:

Young team + big time adversity + pulling it off = invaluable experience

No doubt, there's much to be nervous about with the young team and coach, but I can't imagine a better situation for the team to go through so early in the season. In hindsight, I wouldn't change a thing.

I think it is pretty clear that our team desperately missed Herron, Hall, Adams, Posey, Brown, Williams, Howard, Thomas and others who were also hurt or suspended. This is not the full team and I keep reminding myself of that. I'll take the win and move on.

I truly believe that Toledo wasted a golden opportunity to win this game. They outgained OSU and they had two plays that were unstoppable. The screen to the RB and the quick out to the WR for a WR screen. When Toledo ran those two plays, they were gashing the defense, when they deviated from them, OSU stopped them. If I'm a coach, I make the other team show that they can stop my two best plays and OSU never really did. Toledo's coaching staff let OSU off the hook and I still don't understand why they switched QBs.

Looking forward to the same result next week - Go Bucks

Eh, Dunno if it would have mattered. Mostly on the last couple drives, Simon was just destroying everything in his path to get to the QB... a shovel pass might have just accidentally been in his debris field.
