I'm not sure if the Sun Times article is still up due to UK threatening legal action, but the rumor in Chicago is that Davis came with a $200K price tag negotiated by his father.

Yep, article in the Davis thread is still up, just looked at it this morning

You'd think the dad would have put a down payment on some orthodontics.

Wasn't the article from August 2010???? I would love UK to get nailed but it seems the accusations are over 18+ months old.....

Give me a [censored]in' break. Greg Doyel writes an article accusing Wooden thirty years after the fact, and now Wooden = Calipari?

Give the Internet tough guy bit a rest. No one is saying one equals another but the helpers were real and it WAS a significant contributor to UCLA's success. Nothing new to see here.

Wooden's guy is no secret whatsoever...

Either is World Wide Wes...

Nowadays it's the shoe companies funneling the money instead of interested boosters... Adidas paid a handsome sum to get Kyle Anderson to UCLA this year. Nike (UK) and Adidas (UCLA & Kansas) are in a battle right now for Shabazz Muhammed's signature.

Cowherd was defending Calipari pretty vehemently this week saying "Why would he have to pay people to come to Kentucky?"... Well Colin, it's pretty simple. If you don't, someone else will. So if you want to sign them........

I caught a brief second or so of the CBS pre game final two show. Thought I saw Bobby Knight in one of the "expert" chairs. Curious because Bobby is way out in the open on Calipari and his words haven't been kind.

Big Blue Nation is crazy. Although, I'm not sure OSU football is that far behind...

After reclassifying from 2013 to 2012, Nerlens Noel went from being the No. 2-ranked junior to the No. 1-ranked senior in the ESPNU 100. Since then, heavyweight programs like UConn, Kentucky, North Carolina and Syracuse, among others, have scrambled to get him on campus next season. He recently narrowed his choices to Kentucky, Georgetown and Syracuse. Noel has agreed to give ESPNHS exclusive access into his world by chronicling his thoughts in a blog.

Would ESPN be giving this kid money for his blog?

After last spring, when I was sure Ohio State's house was in order, I'm leery of pointing the finger at any program. It can't be long before a Teddy Roosevelt like figure comes in and demands that the NCAA and the collective colleges clean house.
