Ord's hatred for the guy may be a bit over the top but he's right.

Tebow has never and likely will never do anything to deflect all the media attention. Anyone who thinks this is all Tim being the victim of the media is being naive imo.

Countless guys of faith in pro sports, Tebow is the only one who has the audacity to apply his "brand" to the act of praying.

No he is not. That's absurd. I suppose Wuerffel didn't pray his own way. And again, he is SUPPOSED to spread the message.

Yes, I so remember Danny Wuerffel having his parents pay for a professional film crew to accompany him to the third world and film him circumcising young native boys while attempting to convert their parents to his (his parents) own peculiar and narrow form of Christianity.

I also totally remember the whole Wuerffeling phenomenon. In fact, I still have my Wuerffeling t-shirt.

I've deleted Bible quotes from those on both sides of the debate.

We don't want to have those added to any aspect of the discussion in a football forum thread.

I'm sorry BB but when you delete things you feel don't belong...lol I can only think of one movie....

Nickerson: Djordjevic! I'd like to talk to you.
Steff: We got nothing to talk about.
Nickerson: Then where are you going?
Steff: Where am I going?
Nickerson: Yeah.
Steff: No place, man. I mean, uh, Shadow, he's going to West Virginia. He just found out tonight. And, Tank's going to Furman. You knew that already. And you're going to Cal Poly. And Mouse, Mouse is going to college, he's gonna play ball. Me, I'm just gonna hang out here, I don't know, ya know? Hey, Nickerson, you lied about me. You blackballed me. "Together." Remember that? "Together. Together. Together." That was all just bullshit.
Nickerson: What?
Steff: You're full of shit, man. You just sit there in your office. A scholarship here, no scholarship there. He goes. He stays. Who in the hell gave you that power? You're just a coach. You're just a high school football coach. I mean, I don't know. What, what, I don't know.
[prepares to run off]
Steff: You know, Nickerson, you are not God! Huh? You're just a typing teacher!

and what about people who don't feel like being spreadees? What if they don't really buy into the whole "supposed to" thing? Screw em shove it down their throat anyway?

I've long been curious about how accepting a lot of people would be of overtly spreading the message via football if say Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers were Muslim.

Needs the right system. He'd of done great in the old Niner's offense. Montana did not have a gun, and he rarely threw a pass more than twenty yards in the old West Coast Offense.

I find it hard to take comparisons of Tim Tebow and Joe Montana seriously. Then again, I found it hard to take comparisons of Steve Young and Joe Montana seriously.

Smart move on Tebow's part. He's too stupid to come off as articulate or logical in such an environment. Unscripted and without mom and dad being in full control of the production was just too big a risk.

Secondly, all of America would have watched him talk in that high pitch with the flailing arms and realized exactly how gay he is.
Ceephus, sitting on his couch, might have noticed some eerie parallels with the weird cousin who moved to New Orleans.

Third, they probably wouldn't have let him talk about Jesus (the only man his parents will allow him to love) every other minute, so why bother.

I'm wondering if the new head coach of your alma mater shares your feelings on the matter. I'm also wondering Urban Meyer would respond if he was within 10 feet of you when you made these outrageous comments.

I'm also curious how your comments might be view by recruits of OSU.
I would hope they were deleted before they'd have the chance to read them. Some of them might be very spiritual and faith might play a big part in their lives. Many of them probably admire Tebow and his accomplishments.

Do yourself a favor and just avoid this thread.

It's a message that is to be delivered. You don't want to listen, that's your choice, but it's not really a choice for us to spread that message...it's something we are supposed to do. And no one, Tebow included, is shoving ANYTHING down anyone's throat.

There are examples of Muslim's in sports too. While I may not have converted, I have never flamed a guy for spreading that message either.

I take particular exception to this entire post.

I don't really like watching tampon commercials either, so, I generally ignore them.
