Tebow is a great guy, great role model for athletes as well and hes a winner. I dont get the hate here

If he was a buckeye, I'm sure you would all be sucking up to him and erecting statues in his honor.

I dont get the reason for the hate? The media all over him? Thats not his fault

I wish the Browns could find someone like Tebow. I don't care what his throwing motion is or how much he praises his religion, he is an ABSOLUTE WINNER.

I remember the first few years the Browns came back, players said they mostly spent time comparing girlfriends and laughing about being a Cleveland Brown.

Then Cleveland also had Lebron who pouted and sat out key playoff games, even if he was seen on the floor.

Exactly. And if you don't like the media attention, turn it off. Isn't that why a lot of us are on here anyway, a better source of news than a lot of national media.

It seems like everyone is just on the edge of their seat waiting for this guy to fail. I honestly think it's because everybody "knows" that he isn't as good as he is playing, and doesn't have the physical tools that we usually see to play QB in the NFL. So people are waiting to see him fail, so then they can be proved right and feel better about their assessment of football and themselves.

Bingo. He is vocal about his faith and doesn't back down to all the hate. Tebow is running diesel on everyone else haterade. And I'm with you on media attention...not his fault the media is all over him. Though I'm Christian, I don't care what faith he is, anybody who keeps their faith like he has with all the national hoopla and success should be lauded. Not going to call out people, you can hate him if you want and I can praise him all I want. It's America.

And aside from all that...he is a winner and it's fun to watch.

So are Ray Lewis and Ben Roethlisberger.
Give me a fucking break. We see you're jealous because a guy who has half the IQ of yours is making millions while proselytizing in a way you're uncomfortable with. (Or at least, that's the vibe you give off, ORD.) But Roethlisberger and Lewis are bad human beings, and that's one thing one definitely cannot say about Tebow.

Whatever you think about his faith, he has done a number of good things for the less fortunate - and few people over the past few years have been less fortunate than Broncos fans.

What are his good deeds? Chopping off foreskins with a camera crew in tow and telling Sunday school kids that they will go to hell unless they believe in his particular brand of Christianity.

Are Lewis and Roethlisberger bad guys? Sure. And Timmy is a self-promoting, publicity hungry, religious zealot asshole. I don't have to like him, and I sure as [Mark May] don't have buy into the whole "he's who you would want your son to grow up to be bull[Mark May]." Is Timmy to blame for the media? Yes. He has done nothing to silence the cult that has built up around him and to the contrary he and his backwoods parents have done everything to stoke and milk it for everything it's worth.

[censored] him. The sooner this NFL experiment ends and he's on the Christian Chitlin' circuit pancaking checks for inspirational speeches that I will not have forced down my throat the better.
