Tiger Woods (Offical Thread)

Irresponsibly I might add. Our physical therapist when I was in athletics was also a side steroid dealer to other football teams...but we saw none of that stuff. They know by saying Tiger has been "linked" to this guy that people are going to take it as Tiger was using.

They included Dana Torres as being linked as well. The problem is that whenever someone has been reported to be "linked" they have been guilty over the past few years.

Does the PGA test for performance enhancers?

They do now, but it was instituted very recently. I think they've only had one guy turn up, and he was pretty much a no-name.

Yes they do...I can't imagine that it would be as fervent or frequent as other sports but they do.

We will "know" more about Tiger Woods than we know about some of our closest family members by the end of this.
FI.

Part of the problem is that the media have gotten into the mode wherein they throw all the shit they find against the wall; most of it will fail to stick, yet it will be regarded as "fact" because it appeared on some yoyo's blog. :(

This one is about as bad as the one above

Fox News and CNN have reported that Elin Nordegren moved to the top of the money list on the PGA Tour yesterday after "beating" the world's number one golfer. The news came after the world's number one golfer inadvertently played the wrong hole.

Cheating on his personal life is one thing. Its wrong, but he's not my congressman, so its not really my business.

Cheating on the sport is an entirely different story. If it turns out that Tiger used PEDs, then I wash my hands of him and everything he has accomplished is tainted.

Problem is that everything that is thrown against the wall now WILL stick. Tiger is in no position to do a self righteous denial: "I cheated on my wife, but not in my golf tournaments."

Personal integrity is a valuable commodity.

But then again it was in tabloids - a week before it became true - that Tiger was cheating on his wife. Everyone thought "Psshh, its the National Enquirer, its gotta be fake. Stupid media!" A week or so late Tiger puts out an apology statement for his cheating ways.

I agree that the media is using whatever they can at this point to sell more stories, but not everything you hear at first is false.

If your statement is true, then Tiger may be guilty of taking performance enhancers.

But, if your statement is false, then Tiger neither took enhancers NOR cheated on his wife.

Hmmm, are you a Knight or a Knave?

Being in my line of work, integrity is first. Since he has had shady acts against his wife, why wouldn't he do whatever it takes for his career?
