Thread of What You've Eaten, Cooked and/or Drunk Lately

Tomateaux, flew in to Melbourne, Au. Which is where ship embarked. from there, to Sydney, for two and a half days. Golfed there, and took excursion to visit the Opera House. Truly a magnificent study in engineering, sound etc. Wife and daughter went to an 'operetta' there while I golfed, and pronounced it special. From Sydney, traveled across the ocean to New Zealand. Started on southern tip, and had eight stops up to Aukland. Beautiful places along the way. Golfed (not your question), five more times, and some of the ports were smallish. Our ship was able to tie up to a dock in all but one place. Finally debarked in Aukland. Fantastic city, rivaled Sydney (to me at least), and reminded me of SF, with all the water, bridges, and housing all around. People all friendly, but, for whatever reason, had the worst time understanding their speech. The accent, and some of their word substitutions made for hard listening. PS, Aussies and Kiwis don't serve American wines - reasons I got ranged from 'we're protecting our own wine business' to 'it's racism, we don't like Americans'. Asked them what they're going to do when China starts tossing bombs....anyway, fun family trip. Probably a one-time thing, as the 17 hour flights were hard on the old bodies. PS, you can harness up and climb the big bridge in Sydney if you are so adventerous. We passed.

Short ribs done right may be the most delicious cut of beef.

You're welcome

Garlic in bolognese? Recipe looks good and you could call it a lot of things but bolognese isn't one of them.:drunks:
