Thread of What You've Eaten, Cooked and/or Drunk Lately

Like I said in response, the Asian Markets are pretty good. There are some higher end seafood restaurants here that get there fish trucked in from California which is only about a 6 hour drive from the coast.

the one thing i miss most about living in South Louisiana is access to fresh Gulf seafood.

better than anything from any other body of water this country borders

I don't eat too many raw oysters because I insist on being able to see the body of water they came from when I do

Living in the city if I were to have a pit in my backyard, at least living where I live, surrounded by boomers, I'd get a air pollution complaint. I never even smell wood stoves or chimneys anymore. Down in the barrio though where the Mexicans and central Americans live it's all good. I'd live down there with them but the only problem is they like blaring their music until 3am. That's one of the nice things about living around boomers and gen xers like myself, we respect each other's boundries and try to keep our yards up and not make noise.
