Thread of What You've Eaten, Cooked and/or Drunk Lately

I took my wife to In and Out burger on our way out of Colorado. She had never had it before and raved over the toasted bun. I had had it before and think it's fine. My opinion, however, is clouded by the way the burger treated a certain Heisman winner back in the aughts.

I was underwhelmed, but I don't like special sauces. I'd much rather have Culver's, Freddy's, or Swenson's.

Being diabetic, a lower carb option is the 'protein burger'. What this means, is that instead of a bun, they use large lettuce leaves. Warning, it gets sloppy early, so don't do a gobble-and-go or you'll wear it on your clothes. Oh, and once you start, you're not putting it down lest it fall apart. You're right Dubs, In-N-Out needs to up their fry game. What have prices done on their burgers lately? Had a Deli Delicious 8" sub, chicken and nothing else special, plus drink, came to $18.40. Gave them a twenty and told them to keep the change. PS, on the above, get 'animal style' which simply means grilled onions. Get the flavor of onions, without the dragon breath that goes along with raw.

I haven't had a street burger since the Arby's burger I tried for @Wingate1217 I believe it was. I don't eat in restaurants (rarely anyway) and I'm whittling down foods that I'll eat and bread is in the top ten no no foods. Not because I'm diabetic but rather I've noticed that bread doesn't mold anymore, at least store bought bread. It just takes on a stale taste. Bread that doesn't mold isn't bread, it's a chemical gobbly goop. I bought some heavy cream not too long ago and I noticed that the shelf life is ridiculously long. Makes me very suspicious. I mostly try to make my own meals and stick to organic food (organic simply means it's real food) and cut out as much soy slop as I can. It's amazing how much better you feel when you get that crap out of your system.

My parents had that same dinnerware. Pretty sure I broke a few of them and magically were replaced.
The only thing that broke in my set were the tea cups, still have all 3 sizes of plates, 2 platters, a big salad bowl, regular bowls and the saucers. I have a back up set that were my grandparents and she has a set that her parents left her. We're good until death comes for us.
