The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

Wow, so yeah, I've been critical of this show a lot, but that right there was an episode that shows why I had such high hopes for this show. Of course it was driven by a guy that will probably not be on the show again and a character they've wasted up until now, but still...THAT was the Walking Dead, flaws and all.

Wow...one of my favorite episodes of Walking Dead period. Fantastic story arc and phenomenal acting. So much character development and in all the right areas imo. We needed a lot from Michone and we got it. We saw Karl be vulnerable but also progress. Rick finally showed some sanity and humanistic qualities in reuniting with a character we've been waiting for. I've been waiting on this episode for quite some time now. Not what I was expecting at all tonight and frankly, I think this episode was just really well done. They focused in on a really narrow narrative and executed perfectly, while also taking a break from the same old story we've come to expect. Interested in seeing everyone else's thoughts.

Edit: I agree on wasting a character to this point but I don't think that is the last we will see from him. No way that is the last we hear from him. Unbelievably gripping story he told about his kid turning though...you knew that would likely happen but the way it was told was something else. The way they filled in the gaps for that storyline was remarkable imo.

I kept wondering if they were going to say what happened. Eaten by his own mother, that's freaking crazy.

I thought it was a great episode as well. Loved seeing some character development out of Michonne finally.
