The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

The action is coming in the final 4 weeks when the showdown with Woodberry happens. This one was character development/resolution, but there was subtlety to it, which I think was masterfully done. For example, Rick's group is supposed to be the "good guys", but leaving the running/hiking guy to fend for himself (twice), leaving him to get eaten, then seeing his desecrated body and stopping and taking his shit as they are leaving, that is some cold blooded shit right there, and not something Rick would have done 2 years ago (or whenever this whole thing started). But that is the world they live in. This episode really established a philosophical shift in the entire world view IMO.

Seems this week is all about the build up, though the storyline is trying to stay close to the comic, it has gone way off course. Andrea is still a fucking idiot and needs to die, which sucks because the comics she's one of the strongest characters and not a complete bimbo moron. Liked some of the episode, don't think walking dead needs another sex scene, ever.

This. I watch it on DVR Monday nights and that was the first scene I ever fast forwarded through. The allusion was there had the scene stopped when they ran into the storage room and closed the door.

I am looking forward to the battle between the factions. Have a feeling that Andrea will turn into a planted time-bomb, per se, by going back with the Governor and his crew. The fact that she just found out about the Governor's sick little fantasy he had going on before Michone broke up the party and took his eye seems to me the seed that will make her turn against him sooner than later.

So Andrea is in the gimp chair...awesome. Problem is they have made her such an unsympathetic brainless twat that I am pretty much rooting for the pair of pliers and the blowtorch. Maybe that's what they're going for. I don't know. Not sure where they're going with the whole thing, really.

THe last 2 episodes have been OK, but it's like they are trying to throw red herrings with every character. All of a sudden twatglasses is doing things against the governor, Tyreese and crew can't stay out of their own way, Maggie and Glen are fucking instead of fighting, and RIck is going back and forth on selling out Michonne, even though a blind Stevie Wonder hamster could see that the governor will not keep his word. 2 episodes left...they had better finish strong.

writers said in a Rolling Stones article to expect 27 deaths in total during the last few episodes. Wonder who is going to "bite" it.......

I imagine 24 in Woodbury, 1 main character from each camp...and a wild card of some kind. Merle? Carol? Dumb blondie? Michonne? Carl even? Hard to say.

It had to be Merle. He just wasn't going to work in either camp.

He went out doing some major damage to Woodbury's forces. I don't know how many ends they can tie in the final episode, but it should be a great watch.
