The Walking Dead (Official Thread)

I hope Maggie walks in on Glenn getting him some of that Quesadilla he's been eyeing up and then Maggie gets attacked by a zombie. Ole Red comes over after hearing screams, watches Glenn still finishing his Quesadilla and then gets eaten by Maggie. End Scene. I also hope this scene is uncensored. That is all.
I was wondering if I was the only person who thought Glen was thinking about breaking himself off some of that. Who would have thought that GLen would be the center of the new love web...Despite liking girls, Tara seems to have a crush on Glen, who is married to Maggie, but wants to break himself off some Quesadilla, who is hammering Booger Red when she isn't pointing a gun at him...I see a porn parody in the future.

Can we change the title of this threat to "show everyone hates, yet still bitches about it, ps, it's on AMC"

I have enjoyed the fact that they have tried to get back on track with the graphic novels, but it's a tough go. Look, a few years ago CBS tried a show called Jericho, it rocked the first season, hell I will say the first season was fantastic. The second season, well, the ran out of bat [Mark May] crazy and it turned into a drama. You don't like the show? Don't watch it, if you're entire life is watching something that sucks and you hate, well, let's just say your coach shouldn't be wearing scarlet and grey.

Anyways, this thread sucks.

You used to be cool, man. :shake:

By far the worst mid season finale of the series IMHO........Hopefully the hospital story arc is over now. The whole thing seemed pointless and a complete waste of a "shocking" death at the end.

The only redeeming quality was that Morgan seems to be catching up with them.

Quesadilla is vegan, and a supporter of PETA. God bless PETA...

Terrible writing IMO and they just wanted a shock death that seemed extremely forced upon us. I actually liked Beth's character development but now it feels like the first half of this season with her and the cop was a waste of time. I also wonder why she shoved scissors into her chest (not even that close or deep enough to her heart) and not into her neck? Then of course the gun that was shown being holstered somehow was drawn and aimed at Beth's head from the hip ala Doc Holiday style.

This is where I think the terrible writing actually hurts what is sometimes good production quality...I think the dramatic build of the scene itself, combine with the way the scene was filmed, was actually really good. The problem is the writing was so pathetically trope-y that there couldn't have been anyone that was the least bit surprised by the outcome...which completely goes against the "shock" cinematography. I mean, if you didn't know Beth was the one taking a dirt nap before the show started, there was...the escapee getting Rick-rolled, so no backdoor gunman...no one dying at the church...Maggie not dying, not even alluding to her walking up to Dr. Mullet, and the whole group returning...Michonne telling Maggie that Beth was still alive (the biggest giveway ever)...Beth's changing persona over the past 3 episodes she's been in...her killing the cop...her hiding the scissors...her going to safety, only to run back to Noah...and then the look on her face afterSgt. Ratched said "I knew you'd be back"...I mean, God bless the poor schmuck on TTD, but when he intro'd by saying "I know many of you are shocked" I burst out laughing. The only way to shock, stun, or even mildly surprise, the audience would have been for someone else...Carol, Darryl, Tyreese...to get killed instead. Beth living would have been the shock. So they wasted an entire "shock death" scene, and a good one IMO, on a death that was zero shock whatsoever. I also agree that the entire hospital arc seems like a colossal waste of time, save for the introduction of Noah and the loss of Beth. What was the point? Was it foreshadowing of the fate of the group when the leader tries to use fear to keep people in line and gets desperate? Or was it just another group that they leave and move on? Or was it to introduce the "is it better to stay or keep moving" idea for the second half? I guess time will tell.

On the plus side, I liked the guy getting Rick-rolled, and we seem to have a splintered group now...the Rick/Sasha/Carl/Booger Red shoot first and then ask questions as you are reloading part, and the Darryl/Tyreese/Tara/Tacos-burritos/Glenn teddy bear part. Others like Michonne are kind of in the middle. The teaser for the second half insinuated some group conflict, so maybe that will be the focus of the second half? Or maybe Morgan has somewhere he wants them all to go? Interested in the "hundred miles" part, and if they will introduce a new antagonist, or if that will be in the season finale like it was last year.

Seemed like they found some sort of walled off city or something from the preview. I thought I saw them trying to close some sort of giant steel door. Anyone else catch that?
Yeah maybe a bunker or military base, or something? Hard to say.

Also I have read there was a flurry of hatred for the writers after killing off Beth last night...made worse by TTD, where she apparently cried twice and basically blasted Kirkman for killing her off without telling her ahead of time (I guess they told her right before shooting they were killing her character off) with him sitting there...awkward
